Great place to celebrate my friend's birthday at this place, the wait staff is very friendly and helpful in recommending food and offered us a free desert. The duck breast is flavorful and tender. Will for sure to be back.

Wonderful restaurant!! We had a great dinner on Saturday night. We both had the salmon, mine with stuffed crab, daughter had glazed, both cooked to perfection, long with the grilled vegetables and best whipped mashed potatoes ever. For desert we had the Apple Crisp Bar, it was spot on. Great menu, cant wait to visit again, especially their Happy Hour specials..

This establishment deserves more hype and fanfare! We found Roots when it had just opened and we’re privileged to hear about the owners passion for providing excellent food in new and exciting ways. Every time we visit it’s incredible. I have celiac disease and I can safely eat SO MANY dishes on the menu in every season. Brunch is incredible, their chicken cacciatore reminded me of my grandmothers, and we are never disappointed trying new things. Roots is VERY gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian friendly without sacrificing an ounce of flavor or experience. They prove you don’t need anything but quality ingredients to have delicious food right here in our Midwest backyard.Dietary restrictions: Very GF friendly, staff go out of their way to find an option for everyone’s dietary needs.

Came for happy hour for the first time. Lovely atmosphere with very attentive service. They have specials each day as well. Thursday was pasta night. The shrimp boil pasta was absolutely delish. The cocktail creations were perfect. I'm a light weight drinker so only I can tell when a drink is quality because it hits me fast and makes me feel like I'm in a wonka candy factory. As the terminator would say I'LL BEE BACH. ???????

Loved this place! Very cute bar tenders and I would consider this a high end bar because of location and drink prices❤️ Nice place for first dates.

Hidden gem at the edge of Lee's Summit. Managers and owners are incredibly nice. The food is stellar. Dan is impressed with what comes out of the kitchen there. Seasonal is very fresh and preferred expertly and very well. Only drawback is Sunday is only brunch until dinner. Food is phenomenal.Dietary restrictions: They are crazy accommodating when it comes to special requests. I have serious health concerns. These concerns are severe and I eat like a queen there!

I absolutely adore this restaurant. My husband and I eat dinner here about once per month, and we love the seasonal menus. The salads are always creative and delicious, and all the local in-season veggies are always perfectly cooked. I'm a vegetarian and often order an arrangement of sides - the veggies and risotto are my favorites. A few months ago, they had a stuffed peppadew appetizer that I still dream about. Definitely in my top 3 favorite restaurants in Lee's Summit!

The food and service was spectacular however at the Lee’s Summit location, I would not recommend going there with more than 3 people bc it is so loud. There’s no carpet, curtains or anything soft to absorb the sound so it is incredibly loud. I went with a party of 8 and I couldn’t hear anyone other than who was sitting across from me and next to me. You can hear someone dropping a piece of silverware all the way from the other side of the restaurant. I will say our food and waiter was amazing.

This was my husband’s and my second visit. Our first visit was for lunch when he had the hamburger which he thought was delicious and I had the grilled cheese which I wanted to get tonight but it was not on the dinner menu. The grilled cheese that’s on the lunch menu is fabulous.Tonight we had Nashville hot chicken wings and peppadew poppers for appetizers. The chicken wings were well cooked yet had little to no flavor. You could see lots of spices on them, but they tasted like plain chicken. The peppadew poppers were very good with the vinegar of the pickled pepper mixing with the heat of the pepper. My husband had the chicken stirfry for his entrée and the sauce was cloyingly sweet and very thick. There was also a lot of it on the stirfry.I had the wild mushroom stroganoff which had very runny sauce with not a lot of flavor. It needed some Parmesan cheese or a piece of bread to go with it, something to amp up the runny sauce, or at least something to pick up the runny sauce. I asked for a spoon which meant I could eat the sauce. The saving grace of the entire meal were the desserts. On our first visit we were given dessert coupons so we used those tonight which is why we returned. I had the best dessert I have had in a long, long time and it was the s’more. Not only was the brownie delicious (and I typically don’t like restaurant brownies because they are soggy, sugary/grainy and under baked) but the homemade marshmallow that had a lot of cinnamon on it was ooey, gooey goodness. My husband got the apple walnut bar and he enjoyed it.My water glass was empty three times but other than that service was efficient.I might return for a s’more but I’ll skip the dinner entrees.
