I come here every time for my sushi fixing when i visit my friend in lee' Summit.. Can’t go wrong with smoked salmon and spider rolls.
Tasty sushi for the price. I've only taken to go.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxed, inviting vibe. I ordered the hibachi chicken and sushi combo, and everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful — you can tell they really care about the food they serve.

VERY heavy on vegetables for all meals and not a lot of meat. Maybe 8-10 super small pieces of cubed chicken and even less steak for the hibachi meals. Asked for medium steak and received over done steak. Sushi rolls also very small compared to other restaurants that serve sushi. Not bad tasting, but won’t eat there again. They did give me extra teriyaki sauce for free, but the staff wasn’t the most pleasant. Will stick to my regular hibachi place.

Not impressed
The food was nasty. We had a part of 15 and no one liked it. The soup was horrible. The salad was wilted. We were charged a 20% gratuity for having a large party when the darn tables seat 18!!! They sat 2 people at our table that were not with us and those poor folks were so inconvenienced by being sat with us. They cooked for half of us then turned around to cook for the other side!! So if we couldn’t eat together as a large party why were charged 20% gratuity??!!!

I came in on 1/24/25 with my fiance. We got there and the staff seemed very nice and our sushi was delicious, however I ordered the Steak and shrimp hibachi with no broccoli and extra mushrooms. After about 30 minutes or so we got our food and there was no shrimp, I sent it back and when I got it back there was half as much steak and 4 measly shrimp, additionally there was barely any mushrooms and all the food was ice cold, especially the veggies. I flagged down the waitress and asked her to take it back and remove it from our ticket. When I asked her she got an attitude and said "well he only heard shrimp, he didn't read the order" and proceeded to argue with me about taking it back and remained rude through the remainder of the time we were there.

Spent over $100 on dinner for our one night a month splurge. Called order in at 4:15. Picked up at 5:00. Got home 5:30. Shenanigans began at 5:45. To our dismay, each shrimp and steak bowl had approximately 6-7 pieces of small shrimp and steak each. I guess x4 bowls, we almost have 1/2 lb shrimp and half a 8 oz sirloin!
We never call to complain or leave negative reviews, but……………
Spoke to a “manager” named Tony to convey our disappointment with the portions of these $15 bowls as I have been to Blue Springs location and have had nothing but positive experiences.

After a very disappointing conversation, we were told “thanks for telling me how to do my job”. Frustrated we demanded the real managers contact info and were given the owners (John) info. VM left text sent. No reply. As we live over half hour from location, we were going to take the hit and never go back. Until our 7 year old takes a bite……
“It’s RED” he screams out in utter shock. Take a look and this “steak” is still mooing. No exaggeration, the neighbors calves started flocking to our door. I called back to inform them that they were going to get someone sick. Was told that we probably cooked the steak ourselves and asked it took two hours to call after placing the order.
Very infuriated! I will be making an hour long, round trip, just to get our money back and return this abomination of Japanese Steak. Will never return to or recommend to anyone. Not even a sadist
