We stayed in the bridal suite the night before the wedding and it was huge and clean. And a perfect place for the bridal party to get ready before the wedding. The property is so beautiful and the wedding was perfect! Jesse was so helpful and kind! I’m so happy that we chose The Belvoir for our wedding!!

We had been wanting to come see this place and try the wines for some time. Unfortunately it was not up to our standards. The wines were subpar for Missouri wines and the bartender was abrupt and not friendly. We found out he has been working here for 31 years. Maybe it’s time to hang up your bartending license… very unfortunate as this place could be a gold mine with its history and ghostly apparitions.

8/22/25 we decided to stay for my wife’s birthday, everything was great the service wine tasting and wines slushy delicious, but let’s talk about the room for the price it was not worth it and the beds were so hard not sure if we would stay again but to go for drinks yes ..

This was a great experience even after only learning about the paranormal activity once we arrived. It is close to Liberty town which a quaint town square and has eating options

I'm dying to visit this place again.

Everyone that we have came across staff wise has been nothing but helpful and very kind, answering any queations that we have had and just making small talk. The estate is very beautiful and rustic. On top of that, they have a verity of delicious wines. Highly recommend for a delightful staycation/close getaway.

The place has such great potential and is truly beautiful but it is not kept up. The walls are dirty. It smells funny. The buildings next door to the main building are falling apart. The grapes don’t appear to be grown there and the view is boring not rolling acreage. They have all that ground space and didn’t bother to curate gardens or anything. I would never pay to have my wedding here as scuffed up as the walls were and as boring ss the front lawn was.

The location is beautiful and the history is captivating. I chose this hotel for those reasons and the expectation of peace and quiet I desperately needed after a really long road trip.
Odd Fellows Home (Belvoir) could be so much better. Cleanliness, noise control (they provide ear plugs), and quality of the furnishings are reminiscent of the atmosphere one encounters at a college dorm. The clock had spaces for usb charging, but there was no actual charger. There is no dedicated cleaning crew and the cleaning done seemed limited to bare essentials. They really cater to paranormal explorers, events, and drinking. I would say this is a one night stay experience for most visitors.

Title: 5 Stars for Wine, 4 Stars for Ghosts, 1 Star for Mattress

So, I stayed at the BELVOIR Winery and Inn in Liberty, Missouri… and I think I left with a ghost and lower back pain.

The building is stunning—historic, elegant, totally giving haunted Downton Abbey energy. The wine? Incredible. The vibes? Haunted. Like, “a ghost definitely watched me eat cheese in bed” haunted.

Around 2 AM, I heard footsteps, whispering, and what sounded like someone pacing outside my door, dramatically sighing. Either a ghost was having an existential crisis or someone else couldn’t sleep because—spoiler alert—the mattress was basically a fabric-covered trampoline from 1923. My spine has questions.

At one point the TV turned on by itself, which either means the spirits like late-night infomercials, or they were trying to scare me into buying a new mattress. Mission accomplished.

Would I come back? Yes—but I’m bringing a bottle of wine, a sage stick, and my own mattress topper next time.

I have always wanted to visit the old Odd Fellows home (currently Belvoir Winery)and for our 30th anniversary we did just that. Booked a lovely, spacious room and enjoyed the enchantment of the area. The staff was very friendly and shared much of the Odd Fellows history with us. The campus (if you will) aloud us to explore and take wonderful photos. We will certainly be back. A definite recommend while in Liberty Mo.

Ghosts and wine??? I love it here. My husband and I stayed overnight for an anniversary and had so much fun. It was cozy (and just the right amount of spooky) and had fun reading through the journal people left in the room of their experiences. I’ve also come for the wine before and have a blast every time. Relaxing and beautiful and the wine is great.

I really want to try the ghost hunting too, so I know I’ll be back in the future! This place is an amazing gem.

We came during off-season while I was visiting for our anniversary. It was a rainy weekend as I remember the hospitality lacked a little bit. To have a N of this capacity and intimacy one needs to be a little bit smoother around the edges When you come to the grounds, you’ll see that a lot of it is not finished yet and hones the ghostly legacy it beholds. I believe that they need investors because it was a 2 man show from what I could see, but they have a wonderful concept and a beautiful place. The rooms were definitely dirty (walls, dust, no crevice was well kept) and housekeeping, I think is done very very much in house, (no crew or standard of care) or policy for genuine complaints. I was told “oh that’s just how it is” when I complained that my food had gone sour in the refrigerator because it didn’t work and we had planned an indoor picnic - I was told it’s cold enough to keep the fruit you have fresh…. What???!!! There was “no here let us give you something to eat - sorry about your cheese, salami etc…” . They said “oh yeah that’s too bad”. There was just a very distinct lack of traditional hospitality; it’s run more like a gas station but, it is near Missouri history and has stunning views and is the right price for quaint, the history of the stained glass, and the idea of its past are very, very interesting. The vineyard is lovely. The wine was decently priced and nice and there’s lots of potential there. And clearly it gets on TV all the time..
