I love going here because my family is used to Italian food from New York, and it tastes so authentic compared to a typical Italian restaurant in Missouri.

Went for lunch. Excellent lunch menu not very expensive, and DELICIOUS. Had Joni's special, sausage, meat balls, peppers, mushrooms in a delish marinara sauce. The restaurant is a quaint, lovely place.

The hubby and I went here for a date this evening and I am still really impressed. I am allergic to beef and they were super careful and didn't cross contaminate at all! Everything tasted really good hubby had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and said it was really a good sauce. I had the chicken totelini with a buttery type sauce and it was absolutely amazing. The tortellini was so creamy and the chicken was well seasoned. We will be back in November for my birthday such a great time.

My wife and I were heading back to Sioux Falls after a visit to Kansas City (for the Huskers game at Arrowhead Stadium) and I needed to stop by James Country Mercantile to look for a holster. While they didn't have what I was looking for, they said we were just in time to swing by Luigi's for lunch before we got back on the road, and we REALLY needed to check them out.

We were in a hurry to get back on the road, but figured we'd better stop by and grab something to go and reheat it for dinner when we got home. Well, by the time we got back on the Interstate, the smell of the food was just so tempting so we had to make a stop and test it (it was wrapped very well and still very warm, we had intended to let it cool down then put in the ice chest). UMMM GOOD! The Chicken Parmigiana was cooked perfectly, with the chicken being so tender it cut with a plastic fork. The Luigi's Special was perfectly cooked and full of flavor.

The House Made Tiramisu did manage to make it home, but was quickly devoured once we settled in, and is one of the best I have had.

Having lived in Italy for several years my expectations for Italian food are high. This is hands down the best Italian food I've had in the USA and next time we're in the area we'll stop for an in-restaurant experience.

Fantastic food and incredible service. We stopped in here after an 8 hour drive from Nashville and the staff was so incredibly welcoming and friendly, the meal was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend for anyone in town.

Food is bad - sorry, but all six of us were very disappointed. If you like Olive Garden, stick with it - better food at half the price. If you want real Italian, go somewhere like Garozzo's, and still pay less. I've never heard of a Caesar salad with mixed greens and generic bottle dressing.

If you travel between Des Moines and Kansas City you will often stop in Liberty. And if you do, eating at Luigi’s is a pleasure! The service is great as is the ambiance. But the sauce - amazing! Try the baked ravioli!

I love the ogb spaghetti. It's like my mother used to make.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the KC Metro Area hands down! Our food was hot, delicious and there was plenty to take home. Thomas, our bartender, is a gem that was very attentive the entire evening and made great suggestions of what to order. Make sure to try the Chicken Parmigiana with fettuccine Alfredo for the side.
