We were going here but this is terrifying omg!!
Were going to a shelter to get ours it will b great!!
Felt like the Dollar Store. ANYWHERE.... Not worth the vibe, Felt boxy with 20 Cats. Atmosphere was weak. Price VS Experience ...... Not a fan. LOVE CATS, CAT PEOPLE, 100% but will never recommend. Zoo is cheaper and for the community
Unless you love cats more than life itself, this place is a waste of money. Their so called price packages are ridiculously priced, just to play with a kitten ? đ¤Śââď¸. With todays inflation prices, I can find much better things to spend my hard earned money on then this place. What a joke
Do not adopt from them. I've had so many issues with my other cats getting sick due to issues that are brushed off as something minor. Beware
DO NOT GO HERE! Absolutely horrible place ever treated me horribly!! I will keep leaving reviews.
Ive never thought to have left a review for this place until their recent location change to across the street not too long ago. They were closed for a month or so and missed their unique drink creations so much. I wouldve left a 5* with their old liberty location. We moved to liberty close to 2 years ago and found this location shortly after when driving home. My GF was the one who booked time slots with the cats but we did both come in quite regularly for the snacks and their handmade drinks.
Ok, now for their new location across the road 0.1 miles away. When we noticed that they reopened, my gf booked a time spot for the new play time, it was that weekend. During the weekday before then I wanted to stop by for their wacky yummy drink creations since itâs been so long. Yet the owner said theyâll no longer be offering such anymore. Pointed at their bottled drinks fridge and said go next door for the boba place⌠yea if i wanted boba type drinks then i wouldâve went to one. Boba places basically all offer nearly the same things imo and isnât too appealing as what Sugar Kittens Cat offered in the past. We donât drive out of the way for a boba place, only when itâs nearby. I called their second location and seems like theyâve never had drinks to begin with according to the employee otp. Drinks were exclusive to liberty. If their other location had drinks tho we would take the 40 minute trip for it, it would be worth it.
Notice how I didnât call it a âCafeâ when I mentioned Sugar Kittens Cat earlier? Because it no long fits their model. The cafe part of the business died with their old location. Itâs just a play area with cats that sells bottled gag drinks, and cat gag gifts. They still sell some snacks but itâs nothing that you cant get from elsewhere. Nothing special from this point on that makes us want to come back.
I have a ton of photos of their drinks/drink menus but heres what I found after 5 minutes scrolling through my camera roll. KEEP IN MIND THAT THEY NO LONGER DO DRINKS.
A week ago today went to this place and picked out a cat, did paperwork and was told by store clerk I would be contacted in two days to get the cat. No word and the store clerk said they have no way to give me any info. Thinking I got scammed. I would avoid this place
We have been several times over the summer to the new location in Lees Summit and my kids love it! We finally decided it was time to adopt and found the purrfect kittens! The staff was so friendly and helpful in answering all my questions! They have such cute toys and cat items too! I found the perfect sticker to go with our kittens!
We enjoyed visiting for a few visits. But the last time we went, there were a few kittens that seemed pretty sick. I mentioned it to staff and they just said that it was germs between the cats, it all gets passed around. I thought, hmm okâŚ. But we came home and within the week my cat at home was sick. An indoor cat diagnosed with Giardia. ? the vet said she most likely got it off of us coming home from the cat cafe âšď¸. Iâm all for cat rescue, but itâs extremely irresponsible to have Giardia + cats in an environment where CHILDREN are invited in to pet them. Guessing that is why this business is temporarily closed.
Edited to respond: if you actually checked your computer, weâve visited multiple times. Weâve spent the past couple months getting the Giardia under control. It was a week after our visit in July she was diagnosed. I read the other reviews that kittens adopted directly from YOU had Giardia among other illnesses, which obviously were verified by that reviewerâs vet. I didnât see a response from you to that review, which shows the validity in their claims. I saw the sick kittens when we were there. Donât worry, we wonât be returning to your establishment.
Good, hot fresh ? nice people ?

They have the cat's separate from.the Cafe and charge u 6-20$ or something to see them for only 20 minutes but the food is low prices and all the cost go yo the cat's so I can't complain the cat's were so cute and well taken care of and they had good ice cream which was different flavors them just your orginal chocolate or vinalla if u didn't want food u can get other cat related things like a shirt and they even had large sizes but nothing bigger then 1xl which is sad but u could buy something else the lady there was kinda grouchy but I think she just had a long day so give her a break the place was great and purfect cat stop
I absolutely love sugar kittens! Itâs a great place to adopt if youâre looking for a kitty but itâs also nice to just go hangout with the kitties for fun!
I took my sons here to snuggle the kittens after grabbing a coffee. They have the best bakery items, smoothies, cute gifts & friendly staff with a great atmosphere! The kittens are all so precious & sweet. We had the best experience for a fun afternoon event. Adopt a local fur baby, donât shop! These sweethearts are waiting for their furever furiends to bring them home to more love & cuddles! 10/10 recommend for fun with the kiddos & for a local cat adoption location!! ??
One of the staff was extremely rude. Dismissive. Bad attitude. She was snarky for no reason. She had black and grey hair in a pony tail. This was my daughterâs first time visiting and it started her experience off feeling nervous and unwelcome. The other staff member was very sweet to me and seemed like she could tell the other one was being rude. Thank you to her.
We wonât be back.
Love this place however if you are adopting you need to see the vet ASAP to get them checked out! This place will give them their shots that is all. I adopted from them last year, my cat had giardia. This year we wanted to adopt and our new kitten has giardia, a respiratory infection, and a fever. Which are all contagious between cats and can spread easily.
I called both times to inform the cafe and both times they acknowledged but didn't increase their precautions. I strongly advice you to get your cat checked at the vet as soon as you get him/her. Be prepared to spend an additional $$$ on vet bills within the first week.
