We had some friends visit us from out of state a few months back and they booked a couple rooms here. It's a beautiful old building and the convenience of having Dos Primos right there was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, there were zero complaints. It did seem like the bistro had been closed, it would be wonderful it that ever opened up again.

Was in town visiting a friend… I was pleasantly surprised with an invite to give this place a try, since it was conveniently located in our hotel it made perfect sense… Well let me just say what a little treasure this restaurant is !!! We were very fortunate to have reservations on one of their special monthly dinners & were blown away! All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, the owner is very friendly and really makes you feel at home. We loved how the owner personally spent time with everyone and made sure that everyone was pleased… At the end of dinner, we were introduced to “chef Caleb”, a bright and talented young man who definitely took pride in his work, how neat!We are from Chicagoland (unfortunately), we just don’t get this kind of food, service, and warm atmosphere in our neck of the woods! Definitely a must if you are in town !!! Great job Guy and team!

We booked through AirBnb. Mandy failed to ever communicate with us as far as checking in. I ended up calling AirBNB, they tried to reach her with no luck. We were left to scramble and find a place an hour before check in time. The little bistro advertised being open, but no one was there all day. While looking for another spot to rent, I stumbled upon a review from last month that Mandy had done the same thing to another couple, and just failed to ever communicate with them. Beware!

We usually make it in for breakfast and everything we've had has been fantastic. We've made it to lunch a couple of times and had very delicious meals. I highly recommend asking about the monthly dinners. They are an excellent experience that you usually can't find in the area.

We stayed here a few years ago and thought it was charming, clean, and well-run. It has since changed ownership and has not stood the test of time. The mattress was so broken down that we were literally sleeping on the board or box spring beneath--hard as a rock and has definitely never been replaced since the place first opened about 10 years ago. The other furnishings were the same too, but in decent shape. But the rugs were disgusting--tons of stains and damp in spots, definitely need to be deep cleaned or replaced. The towels were old, thin and discolored. And there is no longer a true breakfast, only a community coffee pot that wasn't filled a single time we went down, and some sad little snacks in a basket (like a little pudding cup, a package of pop tarts, and a can of Beefaroni). And the room amenities were insufficient and random: a shower cap, a few cotton pads, and a shampoo--not even a soap. The internet did not work and the owner or manager was unresponsive. Overall, this place needs a little bit of capital investment, a lot more elbow grease, and an owner who puts in more effort to attend to the guests. It was sad how far downhill this place has gone in only a few years. It's not too late to turn things around though, and make this the great place it once was!

We had a great experience at the Eagle's Nest Inn! When I called to make a reservation, I was told that the bakery below was closed due to the current virus situation, but there was a continental breakfast area outside our room. There was fruit, granola bars, bottled water, juice, etc. And, very good, strong coffee! The coffeemaker was all ready to go. All I had to do is push the button. The room was very clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. The entire building is lovely and well-maintained. We walked along the river, had dinner at the Mexican restaurant next door, and had a huge breakfast the following morning at the Donut Shop. Everyone was very kind and friendly. I also recommend driving up through the cemetery to take in the great views of the river. If you are looking for a short getaway to unplug and enjoy quiet time with each other, this is a perfect spot! I look forward to returning.

I don't really know what to say because the options are limited. The food was ok and interesting. Most of us got fish and some the pork tenderloin sandwich, the food was ok and seasoned. The port sandwich was like a little bun and a huge oversized portion in between. The owners and the staff were super nice and took care of us. However I keep thinking Chef Gordon Ramsey was going to walk through the doors and rescue us. The AC couldn't keep us with heat so we had to move to a different table. The beer was cold. By the way, one of people fish and who used tarter sauce got sick so we think it could of been the tarter sauce!

Everything I've eaten has been wonderful! I like the atmosphere and there are great gift items available for purchase as well.

False advertising!! Was advertised as an Inn. It is a Bed & Breakfast! When I arrived I had to go to the only “opened” establishment near by to find out where the place was because all doors were locked! Attached cafe & Bakery were all closed on Monday-the day I booked. Called the number associated with the place & asked how to get in & she said there was a door off the Main Street that was always open & our room key was sitting there in a box! What?? Very unsafe!! Parking was on the Main Street. Very unsafe! We were on our own in the bed & breakfast! No one around but us! Scary!! She was extremely rude & said if we didn’t like the place we could go up the road & stay with the truckers! Wow!

Owner personally told me the Handicapped room on first floor has "private patio" which was actually a 2x6 cement storage area for tables and umbrellas from adjacent Mexican restaurant patio. Very noisy. No one on premises from 2:30 Saturday until 6 am Monday except for Sunday breakfast if included in nightly fee, and front door remains unlocked that whole time. Food adequate, Cleaning minimal - used red wine glass remained on side table three days of 4 day stay, paper wad under desk never picked up entire stay. I may return to this town but definitely not to Eaqles Nest Inn.
