I am disappointed to have to make this review. I have traveled to Louisiana from my current home in Washington DC to visit family and stayed at the Eagles Nest several times over the years. My past experiences had been great. I even spoke with the original owner about purchasing the property at one time. In that time the property has changed owners and In my most recent experience with the current owners I found them to be rude and nasty. So much so, that I had no other choice but to cancel my upcoming stay. During my most recent stay in February 2022 I did find the rooms to be dirtier than before with stained carpets and soiled furniture, and I now understand the reason is due to the lack of regard for customer service and client satisfaction of the current owners. It is terribly unfortunate that the once lovely property has declined in not only cleanliness, but overall quality and most importantly service. They clearly no longer a need the business, because that's the only reason I can understand that they would treat customers in this manner. I will no longer be a customer of the the Eagles Nest and I truly hope this review prompts an overall change.

We booked through AirBnb. Mandy failed to ever communicate with us as far as checking in. I ended up calling AirBNB, they tried to reach her with no luck. We were left to scramble and find a place an hour before check in time. The little bistro advertised being open, but no one was there all day. While looking for another spot to rent, I stumbled upon a review from last month that Mandy had done the same thing to another couple, and just failed to ever communicate with them.Beware!

Very quaint bed and breakfast, although not really any breakfast, the owner, Guy Crouch, had the coffee ☕ pot ready and had snacks for the guests. Love the room decor! Owner was very nice, met up with us to allow us to check in early since had a wedding to attend. Definitely recommend staying here if ever need to visit the area. This was about 15 minutes from our venue however, had the highest ratings by far from closer places (that were very poor rating's at same price or more)!

We had a very cute room! This is a very cozy little bed and breakfast with a “French” theme. It’s located in town of some odd 3200 people and has a very warm atmosphere! We loved the layout of the hotel and look forward to revisiting in the spring/summertime!!! There is also an amazing French restaurant affiliated that you must look into as well! We will be back and would definitely recommend you give eagles nest a try!

We stayed one night December 2021. We were promised connecting rooms. Ours was on 3rd floor our friends on 2nd floor. Never once were we greeted by any kind of management. Our room had trash on the floor and someone’s leftover food in the refrigerator. The commons area was about 8x8 square foot area on second floor and the coffee pot in the hallway. Single serve boxes of cereal was their idea of breakfast…no milk. The town was dead and we had to drive out of town to eat. We enjoy going to different bed and breakfast but this is definitely a thumbs down ?

We stayed here a few years ago and thought it was charming, clean, and well-run. It has since changed ownership and has not stood the test of time. The mattress was so broken down that we were literally sleeping on the board or box spring beneath--hard as a rock and has definitely never been replaced since the place first opened about 10 years ago. The other furnishings were the same too, but in decent shape. But the rugs were disgusting--tons of stains and damp in spots, definitely need to be deep cleaned or replaced. The towels were old, thin and discolored. And there is no longer a true breakfast, only a community coffee pot that wasn't filled a single time we went down, and some sad little snacks in a basket (like a little pudding cup, a package of pop tarts, and a can of Beefaroni). And the room amenities were insufficient and random: a shower cap, a few cotton pads, and a shampoo--not even a soap. The internet did not work and the owner or manager was unresponsive. Overall, this place needs a little bit of capital investment, a lot more elbow grease, and an owner who puts in more effort to attend to the guests. It was sad how far downhill this place has gone in only a few years. It's not too late to turn things around though, and make this the great place it once was!

The food was great I have been there two times . The first time I ate the Poutine and the next time I had the Bacon Spinach Quiche. Chef Caleb came out and talked to me about the food and how it was served. Loved it .
