Then ordered only to overhear another staff member mention that there were specials and mahi-mahi was an option. We never told that so I ordered a so so chicken sandwich which I could get anywhere but was good if looked at before the price which was too high
Husband said burger pretty good but paid $5 extra for a loaded baked potato which wasn’t worth hit and made his price tag $23 total
Will not be back but was worth trying. I don’t see why so many people I know talk about driving hours to this place

A party of four travellers from Ohio. We had onion rings for an appetizer. My wife and I both had their special cowboy cut ribeye medium vegetable and baked potato. It was perfect. Came with salad and a roll. It was an enjoyable place. The others had pork tender loin and fish also good all came out hot. If in the area again we will go back.

My wife and I have always looked forward to going to the pear tree during the tractor pulls. This year will end our return visit to this restaurant. We will be eating in Kirksville for half the price. Pear tree all you're doing is trying to take advantage of the economy. I'm leaving my previous post below so you can see how I used to feel about this restaurant.
Absolutely perfect. When you walk in the door you see a beautifully designed interior. The Waiting staff made you feel like you were the only customer in the room and they didn't miss anything and this was during a very busy time of the day. And as for the food. It was the icing on the cake. The salad and other vegetables tasted as if they were picked from the garden that day and the selections of meat tasted out of this world. And always make sure that you order the onion rings at the start of your meal they are the best. I live an hour away from this restaurant and it was well worth the drive.
This establishment is our favorite treat - worth the drive down from Kirksville. The food is absolutely amazing - appetizers, drinks, main courses, and desserts. I promise you will not be disappointed. I am addicted to their house Italian dressing (on a fresh, delicious, generous salad). The wait staff is always top notch - professional, efficient, and detail oriented. It can be tough to get in during prime time, so plan ahead with reservations or pick an off normal time. Enjoy!!

Tremendous food with awesome service! We really enjoyed our prime rib, seasoned to perfection and served exactly as we ordered. The salads were an unexpected treat with house made dressings and in-house croutons. To finish, wedding cake for dessert like no wedding cake I've ever had (SO much better!). Most of all, we enjoyed the impeccable service, friendly and low key, which is so often hard to find these days. Many thanks for a wonderful dining experience.
