We had a great meal at The Pear Tree! They are known for their better dipped lobster tail and onion rings. Both are amazing recipes! They also have several of their own salad dressing recipes. I had onion rings as an appetizer, a Caesar salad, which I also tried some of the other dressings with on the side, a 10-12 oz batter dipped lobster tail on a bed of shoestring fries with a loaded baked potato. Everything was amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, a little elegant, a little Roadhouse, and very open and friendly. The wait staff was extremely attentive and took great care of us. You'll drop some coin here, but it's worth it for a special occasion.Parking: There's plenty of parking in the parking lot right next to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant and parking lot are both on the ground floor.

Wasn’t the best experience of dinning out at AJs I must say, everything was pretty mediocre. Wish I had taken a picture of my meal compared to my dates we both had prime rib but mine was cut almost deli style I wouldn’t even say it was a quarter thick and both cuts where extremely fatty and grisly when complained about nothing was done in which I had to step out due to frustration, with a complete awkward interaction with the server that became an embarrassment of just begging for the check, nothing was done over the food and from being out of town i will have to say there was nothing that would make us come back

We live in Oklahoma but grew up in Salisbury. I have ate at a lot of restaurants in my life, and have not eaten at a better overall restaurant than the Pear tree. From the staff to the food top notch. Great job to all who work there and Michael the owner.

Flat out one of the best Tendeloin and onion rings in Missouri. We drive from Kansas City .. I absolutely relish the very cold salad and the dressing is to die for.. yes it's pricey but the staff is well trained (Brenden) was excellent so was the young good looking service assistant..AAA-rating in my book Wednesday Feb7 2024 (lunchtime)..

Dined today on the best tenderloin sandwich and onion rings in the state of Missouri. Great sandwiches to fabulous steaks and seafood. The Pear Tree Kitchen and Bar is absolutely worth the 4 hour round trip. Delicious food, attentive/efficient service and a clean restaurant- What more can anyone ask for? Love you Pear Tree and keep up the good work!

My husband and I moved to NE Missouri in mid-2022 but don’t spend time in Macon. He frequently travels through and had heard that the Pear Tree was good. We had to go to Kirksville, so we stopped on our way home. We will be back many times: Ambiance, amazing staff, and incredible food!!We visited early: 4 pm on a Friday. Because of this, we were able to order off of a special menu which included salad service at the table, our entrees with one side (petite prime rib for him; shrimp Alfredo for me) plus small but decedent desserts at a great value.Our main server, Caiti J, was personable and attentive, but other staff were as well. I think the longest an empty dish remained on our table was 90 seconds.Amazing!!
