Dinner Bell Café is tucked away inside the Lolli Livestock Market in Macon, MO—a spot you wouldn’t stumble upon unless you knew to look. But trust me, it’s worth seeking out! This no-frills diner offers hearty portions, classic comfort food, and a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
I went with the daily special: the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with crinkle-cut fries. The tenderloin was everything you'd want—perfectly breaded, tender, and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The crinkle fries were crispy, golden, and cooked to perfection. For a quick meal at a spot like this, the quality of the food was a pleasant surprise.
Service was quick and friendly, with my food arriving in about 10 minutes. While the cleanliness and ambiance were nothing to write home about, it felt authentic and down-to-earth, just like a good roadside diner should.

Our fries were under cooked. It was almost as cold in the cafe, as a freezer. 3 female cooks, and none were wearing a hair net. One customer, sitting next to us, found a hair in her food!! Worst service I've ever had!!!

This place is a hidden gem!! It’s down to earth service with home cooked food. I was there for sale day (Tuesday). You have to order at the counter due to all sale crowd. It’s an awesome atmosphere! Farmers, great food and beautiful livestock!! The food is AMAZING!!! I would give it 20 stars if I could!!

This sale barn cafe is TOP NOTCH.......Tricia has a daily special throughout the week for lunch, and her breakfasts are equally delightful. You will not leave here hungry..... OR broke. You can't get a meal like they serve at any fast food restaurant for $6-10. I highly recommend eating here.

Went there on lunch while doing outside marketing. I have an hour lunch break and it took almost an hour to get our food. Our orders were taken as soon as we sat down. I paid for my meal and expressed my disappointment to the owner on how long it took to receive my meal from the time we had ordered. While her employees were sympathetic and offered to pay for my meal, the owner did not. She was very condescending and rude. I explained to her that people coming in after us were getting their meals before us. In a snide manner the owner asked me what I would like her to do about? Not one apology was given. The entire time we waited neither her or her waitress said anything about how the meal may take awhile to get here since they were busy and to take the time to apologize for the wait. I will not give my business to a rude owner who can't apologize, which is all I was looking for, and wants to act condescending about my complaint.
