The food was great, the portions was great and the prices was great. People spoke to one another and it had the old fashion vibe to it. I will go back.

Mels diner is an excellent place to eat. They where open today only (Sunday) for St. Patrick day. The corn beef and cabbage dinner was outstanding. The corn beef melted in your mouth.

Heated bathroom! Heater might be seatin on a case of beer but it's heated lol. The food was absolutely amazing! Fiance ordered the daily special which was chicken fried steak, green beans with bacon&ham, mashed potatoes smothered in white gravy, and toast. His eyes got great big first bite and said, "That's the best damn chicken fried steak I've had!" Everything was amazing. The tenderloin had a the best batter on it, fried perfectly golden and held to the large tenderloin. The tomato was large, red and juicy. The onion rings' batter held and didnt crumble. Was gonna try the jalapenocaps, but opted for their new app, garlic cheddar bites. They served it with ranch and marinara, tasted great with both. Little town, sweet people. The waitress was so sweet as well. *The tenderloin doesnt come with toast, my man put that on my plate*

Kid-friendliness: Magnetic letters on the wall for kids to play with at the table.
