Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company Restaurant

We had a quick trip up to Springfield MO., so I looked up places to visit pertaining to gardening. Located Baker Creek Seeds and started stalking (in a good way) your Facebook page, and website. I ordered your new catalog, and received it a few days before our departure. Today we spent about 3 hours in total with 3 of your wonderful employees. I’m sorry I didn’t write your names down, the lady working the seed store was a wealth of information. She and I had my hubby on edge with my selection’s of flower seed’s it was really funny, because he knew he lost this battle 😂 I just wished I had of opened my email upon arrival it came in around 11:30am, to see that if I ordered online, it was 10% off until Sunday. I was able to pick from the free seed rack with our purchase, I’m sure I would have picked more flowers if possible. We truly appreciate the tour we were able to go on, I’m sorry I don’t remember her name, we had a wonderful visit with this young lady, being able to see the “Stock” in bloom made me go back to the seed store and purchase more of them 🤗 The funniest part is we discovered we have a “Nephew” that works there as well, ok so he adopted us 😂 especially when I mentioned hubby is a Cajun and cooks a great gumbo. Thank you for making our day extremely special, on day 1 of my husband’s retirement. Now back to the Mississippi Gulf Coast we will travel, and start preparing our flower beds. Nice people, great selection of seeds from all over the world.

Great advertising but seeds are not so great, unfortunately. Black tomatoes what I ordered, are not good. Beautiful pink inside reddish is disaster. Went straight into seeds, no root to eat. Yellow tomatoes, are not all yellow. From 1 package of carrots, came out about 8 plants. But I'm happy with beets, cucumbers and cabbage.

Tulips were blooming. Seed store was fascinating and every employee seemed knowledgeable and eager to share . Food in the “hotel” was excellent and the chef came out to tell me which options are gluten free (many, since they use tamari not soy sauce)

Absolutely love everything about this place! Ryan is amazing, what great person to be one of the faces for Baker Creek! Been buying seeds at the spring flower festival for the past 3 years and have not been disappointed in germination, or variety! Keep up the great work you are doing!

All was good and fresh. The house thousand island salad was my favorite. My mom loved the bread You wait to be seated. Then you order and go to the side and get your drink. Then go to the front and pay near the area where the cook is. A different system but it is very good. The service was friendly. They served local sparkling water ( very good). Everything is local. I like to see their produce put to work in all these dishes. I wish they offered a recipe book with their produce in it. Loved

We had a first time visit, to say it was more than we expected would be an understatement! We enjoyed the meal we had and the stroll through the many many planted beds. And the unending selection of seeds.
