Zero stars. Rude to our Uber eats driver. We ordered a $75 dollar order and we paid $14 for a starter of queso that we were told once delivered, didn't include chips. Don't eat here!!!!!!

We went on a Friday night at 6:30. Very spacious and nicely decorated. We were seated immediately in a nice big booth. Chips were hot, fresh, and delicious. Salsa very tasty as well. Margaritas were good but waaaay too much ice!! Food came quick, hot, and so very good. We will be back!

We loved Maya Cafe and mourned the loss of great Mexican food in Maplewood. We decided to try Cowbron. Very unsatisfactory. There were only two other tables full Saturday at 5:30. Service was rude. Food was cold. My husband got two beef tacos and beans and rice. The taco had no flavor, and the beans were cold and flavorless. I got the enchiladas, I asked for Beef and a cheese Enchilada. The enchiladas came with sour cream and iceberg lettuce on top. Maybe some people like that, however I did not because it made the already cool food, cold. The cheese that was used in the enchilada was good, very good. However, it was cold. The bean enchilada was flavorless as was the beef. The chicken was ice cold, did not even try it. Server did not check on the table, I had to flag her down. We at the time were the only table sat. I sent back the enchiladas and asked for just one cheese enchiladas. I sat there for another ten minutes no food. I got up and paid and left. there are many other restaurants out there. Give this one a pass.

Went to CowBron about 2 weeks ago and it was a great experience. The service was great, food was even better which made our evening fantastic. Great addition to that boring strip of business.

This was our first time and we will definitely be back. I got the carnitas and they were delicious! The enchiladas were a little cold but tasty. Atmosphere and service were great.

Really nothing had flavor and the plate was hot but the food was lukewarm... which is suspicious. Service was fine and the inside looked nice but I don't think I'll be going back.

This place was great! We were greeted and seated immediately. Chips and salsa were brought out right after we sat down and drinks were brought out right away. Our food came out shortly after and everything was so good! The place was very clean and service was great. Definitely will be coming back to try their drinks.

Delivery thru grub hub. This was a newer place I had wanted to try over by the maplewood license office on laclede station. Cold night... worked on packing all day and didn't want to cook or go out.. the delivery was great. Surprisingly fast I had it in less than 30 minutes. The food was nice to have... but this was a bit bland for me. The tortilla would have been tastier crispy pan fried. The tortilla I got was tough and chewy. Salsa and chips were okay... but just. Since I was eating at home I had this with a glass of wine. Maybe a margarita would have made it taste better. Price is decent but of course all the adds when you order delivery really drive up the price. I've heard the ambiance is okay.... But I'm eating on my warm house in front of TV. So after eating it and thinking about it and not looking to find fault but... the chips and salsa were not good. The ones I had at home from aldi were way better. I mean aldi products are tasty but you expect something you pay for ( yes pay for) on delivery to be somewhat special. Neither chips or salsa particularly tasty... sad, might come back but ... probably not...

I held off on this to make sure I didn't get food poisoning because I genuinely wasn't sure if the green chili pork on my plate was rancid or just seasoned terribly. The rice was undercooked and flavorless. I finally figured out that the green chili sauce just tasted like lime juice. Now, I adore lemon and lime, but this was nasty the bottled variety. The complementary salsa had a little bit of heat but was lacking anything else to round out the flavors. All in all, it seems like whoever is responsible for the food doesn't have a good sense of how to balance out the flavors in their dishes. The food is somehow bland and very strange tasting all at the same time. Good news is, I only ate something that tasted weird. I didn't get sick so yay for that.

Hidden gem! Despite being hidden in a rather boring strip mall Cowbron truly stands out as a great Mexican restaurant. It's a relatively new spot, and as I mentioned it's pretty unknown, so don't expect to wait long for a table. I personally have eaten here about 5-6 times and have yet to wait for a table on a Thursday or Friday night. Don't be fooled, they are amazing but quite off the map in terms of nearby restaurants, which is how I account for their low wait times. The food is great! The fajitas are large portions, enough for two to split after a couple baskets of chips and queso, and they have THE BEST CARNITAS I have ever had in my entire life. As a former chef I can definitely speak to this as carnitas are a dish that take time and thoughtfulness to be done great, both of which are evident once you've tried the tender meat on offer here. As a regular to Mariachis II and La Catrina I can tell you that this place has earned a spot in my top 3 favorite Mexican joints in the city. Go to Cowbron!

I had take out by the time I arrived our first snow season started. Anyway I had a steak taco salad it was not quite there for me. The outer shell was not thick enough and quite honestly I don't even remember eating any steak. I was expecting a lot of flavor seasonings to go off in my mouth, but none of that happened. Will I eat here again maybe. If I find myself in the area and decide to stop by. The inside looking very nice.

3rd try. Food is just not worthy of a visit. There are too many other good and even average Mexican places in town.Very low quality Carne esada, lack luster chicken fajitas, place was empty at 6pm on a Saturday night.
