Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken

I'm trying to figure out why is 20 fries considered a double order. So is the single order 10 fries? I would be back.

Holy cow! I’ve been looking for the best Fried Chicken in STL — and Gus’s is the best I’ve tried so far! Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. My pickup order was made super quickly, the food was hot and the staff was friendly. The Dark Meat Plate was perfect. The chicken was crispy and seasoned so well, and the sides were excellent as well. Let’s talk about those sides: sweet, tangy coleslaw and tender baked beans. OMG they were almost as good as the chicken!!

We will be back. ASAP!!

Fried Chicken - 4/5 - The fried chicken was so crispy! Really liked it, but note, if you don’t like dry chicken, you won’t like it. It’s not saucy at all.

Coleslaw - 4.5/5 - loved the coleslaw, it was so creamy!

Fries - 4.5/5 - perfectly fried, they were so fresh and really good

Ambiance - 4/5 - just a casual spot for fried chicken

Service - 5/5 - my waitress was so friendly and attentive, really appreciated the good service!

man, this chicken is good! Just enough heat to make it interesting. Screwed up and didn't order the okra. Next time Gus's!!

We eat here almost every time we come to St. Louis and it is always great food and good service! I don't even like Fried chicken but I love Gus's because it's just flavorful and not overly greasy. The Pies are all fabulous as well.

It was absolutely delicious. The waiter was friendly and fast. The chicken is juicy and flavorful with just a bit of a kick of spice in the skin. The Mac n cheese is so cheesy and good

So this chicken is great, but my only complaint is if you order ahead online you pay a high premium. Ordered 10 breasts and 5 wings, and paid $15 more than the price you would pay if you just called ahead and paid when you arrived. Don’t be a sucker like me when ordering online, unless you have money to burn!

Ordered carry out, was greeted immediately upon arriving! Ordered a white piece combo and dark piece combo with Mac and cheese, fried okra, and beans. Chicken was crispy, flavorful, with a hint of spice! Everything was fantastic, service was timely and super friendly. Didn’t dine in, but noticed there’s an outside too for dining. Would recommend!
