Really great service, the staff were very personable. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as I'd hoped. Burger meat was cooked correctly as ordered but I think it was the taste of the grease that was off, and the cole slaw didn't taste fresh. I'd give it another go though, as the reviews of the place are really good. Maybe was just an off-day when we went.

We ate here today, I ordered the Dopey bacon burger and my partner ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, (the burgers are named after Disney characters since this is in the city that Walt Disney lived when he was a boy). The service was excellent, the food was great, and the restaurant is right on the main street. It's a small town but everyone was super friendly to us and we had a great visit. If you like appetizers, I recommend the onion slivers!

As posted on Google we had a terrible experience this evening! Had a table of five, literally the first people in this evening. One member of our party ordered “the special” which was pork steak, baked potato and broccoli. Everyone else ordered menu items. Everyone else was served their meals and the person that ordered “the special” was told that it would be a few minutes. Ten minutes later they were served a raw pork steak and the potato was hard. Sent it back. 30 minutes later they finally delivered the pork steak and said the potato was going to be a while. We finally were ready to leave when they brought out the potato. And then after all of that they charged us full price! I do not recommend this place to anyone! Zero out of five stars!

After 3 days of travel that included nothing but fast food, car snacks and hotel breakfasts, J&J on Main was our oasis in the dessert. First- the service. The staff and servers are above and beyond! Not just polite, but warm and welcoming to this weary traveler- even though our order was to go! We ordered about an hour before closing, and I sometimes expect quality to suffer when I know the closing time is soon. Not at J&Js! Second- location and atmosphere is great. Quaint small town, plenty of parking and a large spacious restaurant you will not feel crowded into. Lastly- food is amazing!!! We had the Bashful & Dopey burgers, coleslaw, mac&cheese, and the breaded green beans for an appetizer. Even after a drive back to the hotel, the food was great. The mac&cheese is creamy, the coleslaw is the best we’ve ever had and the burgers are fresh beef, seasoned and cooked well with no skimping on the toppings! We are stuffed, satisfied and a little jealous that the people of Marceline have such a great restaurant! If you are in the area to go to the museum, do yourself a favor and stop here for lunch or dinner. You won’t be disappointed.
I only have one regret- I was so travel weary, I forgot to tip our wonderful server who went above and beyond in the packing up of the food and making sure everything was correct and that we had utensils and napkins.
