We enjoyed a delicious lunch of brisket & turkey platters plus very friendly service with a smile. 😊 Added pulled pork to-go for the weekend. Thank you Tiger Country Smokehouse! Yum!!

I saw the reasonably priced rib special with 4 sides and thought it would make a good supper. I called them 2-3 times with no answer. I messaged them on Facebook to see if they were still open. they told me to call the number. I am a patient person but it took me an hour and a half to get someone on the phone..... I still ordered because I was wanting good barbecue. I went to pick the food up, and the sides were maybe 4-5 bites a piece, and in containers that I would normally expect sauce to be in. I had expected four sides would be plenty for me to eat on over the weekend, not something one person could easily fit on half their plate. The ribs weren't even in a package, just wrapped in foil and thrown in a Walmart sack. I'm more than a little irritated at this point but still hoping the food is at least good... only to be disappointed again. The ribs were dry, unseasoned, and overcooked. The best part of the meal was the baked beans and even they were just okay. The homemade pudding doesn't taste that different from a box mix. The green beans were rubbery. The coleslaw was bland. I was extremely hopeful based on all the good reviews and how busy they were but I've never been that disappointed with barbecue before. I will not be going back, and I definitely don't recommend going. At least it was cheap.

Regardless of what the Doughhead gentleman said I know this man and ALL of their past employees. The owner has never disrespected anyone in this city over the past four years. They support every fundraiser by providing free labor and advertising. They paid as agreed and it was always more than agreed upon. I know they would gladly provide any information to anyone asking but the easiest way to find out about them would be by walking down the street and asking. Stop into the other restaurants in town and ask or swing by the radio station or city hall or the hardware store or just anyplace you can think of, and I will guarantee you will hear nothing bad. If you think so just go read their Facebook responses the other two times a Doughhead came along. Oh, and the food is always good. FINALLY, they have sandwiches hanging, you know what that is? They have free sandwiches awaiting ANYONE that needs one.

Something customer's might not be aware of is this business doesn't treat their employees fairly or respectful. It's recently come to my attention this man pays employees under the table and doesn't use the company money to pay them. Instead he forces them to turn over all tips recieved and then uses them to pay employees. The pay doesn't even come out to minimum wage. No taxes are paid or workers comp. It's a crying shame these people moved to our area and are being allowed to take advantage of locals and mostly teenagers who don't know better.

Everytime someone has a complaint about this business or the man who owns it he lashes out and attacks them. I am beyond disgusted by these people who are thriving off the backs of those who are in need of a job and have to take subpar pay.

Wake up Marceline and stop promoting a business that will do this to locals. No I've never worked for him but I have family that has. Ask yourself why he has so many problems getting and keeping help. It's because he thinks he can get away with it.

This is literally the best barbecue I’ve ever had in my life. The ribs were unbelievable and the owner is an incredible host. You have got to stop in if you’re lucky to be around during service hours! If you don’t get the pecan pie you’re out of your mind.

The food was absolutely delicious! The owner did everything to accommodate our family after about 30 of us showed up without notice! They threw together a buffet for us and we were so grateful! You definitely need to give this place a try!

The food was amazing and the owner far too kind. I had the turkey with baked beans and pasta salad and my husband had the pulled pork burrito, both had great smoke and flavor! The pecan pie and butterscotch pudding were amazing as well! We will return and highly recommend you try Tiger Country when in Marceline!

The tiger country smokehouse, What to think about it ?I always dream of a smokehouse in a small town with a great sounds around it.This smokehouse on the other hand is great. You go by it and you smell the workers cooking every morning before they even open.It makes me so hungry that i have to get it when the doors open.Just to get back to the experience i get almost anything to try each time i go.It very affordable prices for your pant pockets i mean you don’t need an arm or leg to get delicious bbq. They are friendly staff and great place to be around.Something to experience for your self, family, and friendsI give it a thumbs up both of them.
