I have a hard time supporting some place that has service people who depend on tips for their wage but do not tip deliveries here. I've never ordered food from there so can't speak on that.

What can I say, it was a great breakfast and even better atmosphere and conversation. We’re from Texas where everything is BIG, but wait till you see the biscuits here! I had to cut my full order of biscuits and gravy to a half order so I could room for pancakes and bacon and also fried potatoes, and everything is cooked to order not 5 feet from the counter. Fast and super friendly service, we’ll definitely be back when we visit our daughter at school. Oh, I forgot, I asked a few regulars sitting at the counter what was good, the unanimous response was “the chili”. I saw three orders of chili burgers and fries while we were there. A definite must try!!
Went for breakfast. I agree with the other post about the B&G. The pancake was scorched on one side. The biscuit was dry, and the gravy tasted of raw flour. Salt and pepper didn't help at all. Sausage patties were nice sized, too! The rest of the food was good for the others. The service was great, though. Coffee stayed filled, and the help was pleasant. Didn't have to pay for the B&G either.

Very small space maybe 12 max customers at one time. The biscuits and gravy were very bland all the salt and pepper I tried to add didn't help at all. The scrambled eggs weren't cooked enough. The cheeseburger was decent but not anything exciting, the French fries were hard and tasteless. It was cash only which we weren't told till after we sat down and ordered but we were pointed in the direction of an ATM near by.
A real Drive-In Diner experience full size breakfast larger size slice of ham anywhere is in town in fact anywhere as I've been in in the last 20 years friendly cook and server friendly locals just amazing breakfast and what seemed to be full size biscuits and gravy I just got half the size and had a full plate along with a couple of Eggs and Ham really beyond my expectation and very good with refill on coffee for free just amazing located right in the center of town just right off this County Square

Joan's is a landmark in Marshall MO. Ask any of the locals and they can tell you a memory of eating there. The food is cooked right in front of you, and is always delicious. I think the best thing about Joan's is the atmosphere. The regular customers make it really fun with their personalities. There is always always a story, some may be true, but who cares right? If you are looking for a little nostalgia, Joan's is the place.
