Had a very nice meal. Literally everyone from the greeting to the goodbye was so friendly and just really made you feel welcome and that your business was appreciated. It’s nice to have an intimate setting that you can talk to your neighbors if you want but can be alone if that’s your vibe.

We went after driving 3.5 hours for my graduation from NWMSU. We got there about an hour before closing, and then proceeded to stand there for about 10 minutes before we were seated. The restaurant was nearly empty at this point. We placed our orders and it was the most disgusting food I had ever had. The chicken was gray and smelled funny, and the pasta was essentially mush. We ended up just paying and leaving. A&G used to be the place in Maryville when I was in undergrad, but now it is not even worthy food for the raccoons who dig in the dumpster!

Reminiscent of an old supper club with high-backed, upholstered black booths, wood pillars, and low lighting.
Food was warm and well-seasoned. Service was slow initially, but our food came out in a decent amount of time. A good experience overall!

Came in a couple hours before close. Still plenty of people still there. I was by myself and it took a few minutes for them to sit me. Then it was a few more minutes before someone came to take my order. But after that the experience was good. Food was delicious (sorry I didn’t get a picture of it) and my waitress was very kind.

We were extremely disappointed this evening by unprofessional staff (except for our very kind waiter Leo) and food that was truly inedible. The pasta was so overcooked that it was mush, and the chicken smelled like it had long gone off. The margarita was so offensive I could not even drink it. We tried to eat and drink out of politeness, but gave up, paid the bill, and proceeded down the road to Hy-Vee. We will not be back.

Wow, so bad!! Went in 3 hours after a ballgame. We sat for an hour and a half after ordering, waiting for our food. We didn’t complain, they were busy.
But then our food arrived ICE COLD!!
I sent mine back, but as we waited for it to be remade, we discovered that nothing at the table could be eaten, it was so bad.
When my replacement was delivered, we asked for a manager… who should have delivered the replacement with an apology and a discount. Instead, he takes 10 minutes to get there and says NOTHING, even though he knew I had sent my food back.
Still being completely nice, I told him the other plates were also cold and not edible, (I mean I had nachos and the chips were completely soggy and the cheese was completely solidI. My husband had pasta that had been microwaved too hot and rubbery, my son had a sandwich that also had cheese that was cold and greasy from sitting so long.) I politely pointed out that he would not want us to pay for the meal…. No apology, no nothing. He said, “you eat it, you pay for it!” I pointed out that we did not eat it, we couldn’t because it was not edible. He said they were very busy. Still polite, I said that was why we waited an hour and a half after ordering without complaining. But then, our food should have been delivered hot. He looked at me like he didn’t understand my expectations and said “we are busy” again. Which, actually…. by this point, they were not. The large restaurant was almost empty. Still, he never apologized, he just kept saying, “You eat it, you pay for it!” Again, I pointed out that we did not eat it. “You eat it, you pay for it!” So, I said, “OK, we didn’t so we won’t!” And we walked out.
A waitress spoke to me by the door and I shared what happened. She was outraged and asked who our server was. I said it wasn’t the server, IT WAS THE OWNER!! Then a child joined the conversation and said, “he’s been doing this for 60 years, he knows what he’s doing!!
I said, “maybe it’s time to retire.”
Oh… and it was so cold in the restaurant that it made my back ache, my ice tea was delivered hot, when I politely asked for a cup of ice it was delivered in a steaming hot cup, and my food was not delivered the way I ordered it EITHER TIME!!

Horrible!! Waited an hour and a half after ordering our food in a freezing cold restaurant only to be served ice cold food that could not be eaten. We politely told the owner we would not pay for it. He started yelling at us, “You eat it, you pay for it!” I repeatedly pointed out that we did not eat it. Finally we walked out.
We loved this place. The atmosphere was cozy with music from the 40's. The cocktails were delightful and our meal was delicious. The device was top notch. A great dining experience.👍

An absolutely phenomenal restaurant!! I am always blown away by the way the flavors of every dish complement one another. Don’t let the small town Missouri location fool you - this place is a true gem!
