I had chicken fried steak and tater tots and it was excellent. He had breaded tenderloin sandwich that stuck way outside the bun and it was very good. Took his chocolate pie to go. It’s just a plain roadside cafe. There was room to park our rv.
We stopped for breakfast while traveling. We're always about small town USA cafe's & diners. It did not disappoint. Easy on/off access from highway we were traveling. We walked in to a greeting of big Hello. Diner size as you'd expect, very hometown feel. Open kitchen . We sat down, got our drinks, menus, continued conversing with the husband/wife team ( assuming) another local came in and they began conversation with him to which we heard about pie. So of course...
Stopped in for breakfast on the way to St. Louis. I ordered the Western Skillet. The meal doesn't come in a skillet, so that's deceiving. The meal got the job done nothing special or extraordinary. May or may not stop in again, but at least I can say I stopped once.
