They had a very poor way of letting their employees know they are shutting down for good. Several employees knew ahead of time and some knew last minute as to them no longer having a job. They told some of these employees they made decision last minute but like come on, they knew there was a possibility of this happening and yet they didn’t have the common courtesy to give a heads up for everyone to find a new job that can be lined up. Very and highly unprofessional! My brother and my friend both lost their jobs, my friend didn’t even work 3 weeks there. Why hire new employees if you are considering to sell the place and close up shop? Rude and highly inconsiderate, some of these people seriously rely on that job, some are single parents living paycheck to paycheck.

It was a friendly little place. Great food, atmosphere and the staff were amazing. Had my grandson 2nd birthday and they had fun. Thanks!!

One of the few non-chaim places open in Mexico on Sunday. The wait staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The actual building was ok, a bit dated, but the restroom was pretty nasty. Not sure how the owner could ever walk in there and not go clean it themselves out of pure embarrassment.Food selection wasn't the best, typically expect more from a buffet, especially on the weekend. Fried chicken was crispy but bland, the gravy had a skin on it from the heat lamps, and several other items were showing signs of being dried out. Fried okra was the best item, along with the rolls.Ultimately, it got the job done, but would definitely look elsewhere first.

Would give negative stars if it was an option as it was a disaster from the beginning. The 2 women that were working couldn't figure out how to function the register, then we finally get our drinks and sit down. Food was ABSOLUTELY disappointing. Everything was dry, burnt, cold or a combo of all 3! We never got our drinks refilled unless we asked up at the front. We were offered rolls but they never came and when we finally spotted someone again she laughed and stated that she had burnt our rolls so she was getting new ones. She stated that she got distracted with something else and thats why they were burnt. My question is, with only a couple people in the place what else was there to possibly do while making rolls??! We have been here before and it hasnt been this bad. Will not come back again.

The food was ok over all but there are no signs on anything so you just have to guess what you are choosing. We had a large party and had a couple waitresses dedicated to us but I and a few others still had to go up to the front to get our drinks refilled. The room was clean and they showed us to decorate and bring cake in so that was awesome.

It was pretty good, but I seen some of the plates weren't washed and I couldn't help but feel disgusted.

Price was really good. Food was good, service good, owners very friendly. Fried chicken slightly overdone. But otherwise, a good choice.

I have a bit of a time giving this review. The staff, location and building are nice. And actually the staff are great and I know they care. But the food has dwindled down to over cooked chicken and cans and boxes being opened and dumped out and heated. Seasoning would take food from very plain to something a little more enjoyable. I don't know of a single thing actually homemade.

This was our second visit to Brick City (Feb. 16). We were somewhat disappointed this time, so I'm giving only 3 stars. We left our coats on while we were eating, because it was cold in the restaurant. The food was good for the most part, but nothing on the buffet was labeled. Not all of them needed to be, but there were a few dishes we couldn't tell what they were. I wondered about people who have food allergies. (I have a daughter who is allergic to pork.) Also, all of the salad dressings were in white bottles with no labels. Not a problem for me, because I'm not picky about dressing, but not very many in my family like Bleu cheese dressing and my grandchildren only use ranch.

I was not impressed. I felt like the buffet consisted of mostly the cheapest offerings they could think of to put out...with the exception of the fried chicken.Like noodles with gravy, meatballs in bbq sauce, little hotdogs in a sauce, green beans, corn...an unimpressive selection. It cost almost $50 for 1 child and 2 adults with 2 sodas. We felt sorry for our waitress who not only filled our drinks and cleared our table...but she was the only waitress for the whole restaurant and was also the person running the cash register and filling the salad bar items.

Some of it is edible. But not much fresh or great.-Chicken was hot and fresh, but was oil soaked.-Ribs were cold. But had flavor.-Teriyaki chicken was extremely salty and Luke warm.-Onion rings tasted like old oil.-Rolls werehot and fresh but bland and maybe a little…”stale”(not sure how describe).-Macaroni was wateryThe Good was the skillet potatoes and the chicken fried steak. As well as the apple pie.Server was average. But nice.Id probably never try it again.

This is a delicious, clean, well maintained restaurant. The fried chicken is always hot, crispy, fresh!! With tons of potatoes and gravy!! The catfish, if you can believe it, is even better!!! And I don't know about you, but it's so nice to find a restaurant to go and sit, visit with friends AND the food feels good to my body.Salad bar, dessert bar, staff is the best!!You can't go wrong stopping in anytime!Well worth all the time and money. Always a great place to eat and plenty room for everyone. You won't go wrong here, for just a small town place, they do it all wonderfully ! Oh and don't forget, soft serve ice cream cone ?!!

Someone tested positive there and they still work while testing positive all because she’s showing no symptoms, they don’t care if you are testing positive for COVID because they clean and sanitize daily. So if you like the chance of catching COVID, because after all, it’s okay to come to work positive for COVID, as long as you don’t have symptoms. Go eat at brick city
