Staying for work. I've never been in Moberly. I am a sucker for a good sandwich. Club is always a good fallback and expected my club to have a little oomph. The only thing on one layer was mayo, tomato, and lettuce.Update: I stopped eating the sandwich mid way and got sick about an hour later.

We ordered via Door Dash. My husband asked for no olives on his salad and there were still olives there with a confirmation of no olives. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and there was not a single piece of chicken at all.The sandwich we ordered was fine.I’m sure this was just an unusual coincidence, but this was our first time ordering from them so it’s left a bad first impression.

My husband and I ate here Friday while we were in Moberly. Wnen we went in, the cafe was empty- I mentioned this fact and the waitress said she had been very busy and all the chicken was gone. So I asked "no chicken" she said she had to make some more up . So I ordered the Chicken Croissant sandwich and two glass of water. She delivered my chicken croissant sandwich which was suppose to have shredded chicken, which it did, celery, red grapes, sliced almonds and mayonnaise served on a croissant. FIRST: The sandwich had a good flavor - except it was just shredded chicken- there was only maybe 3 grapes (cut in half), No celery and No almonds and No mayo. I asked the waitress why there were no celery or almonds. or mayo. She went back into the kitchen and took out the container of shredded chicken put a glove on - thank you - and started digging down into the bottom of the container. I could see this from where I was sitting. I asked her where the celery was and she said it was under the chicken in the bottom of the container, well she didn't dump it into a bowl and mix it up like she should have she dumped mayo into the container and mixed it up in there AFTER I got my sandwich. Plus the pickle was wrapped in foil, pickles are acidic and they will deteriorate the foil and it will absorbed into the pickle, I didn't eat it. SECOND: My husband decided to eat after the fact so ordered the Bacon Tomato Grilled Cheese. Which was suppose to be: on sourdough bread (which it was two thin pieces) bacon, tomato, mayo, cheddar cheese, provolone, pepper jack and swiss. What is was, was sourdough bread grilled (it had strips on the bread) and Velveeta cheese, NO cheddar, NO provolone, NO pepper jack NO swiss and NO bacon, NO tomatoes. We were charged $9.85 for a skinny flat sandwich with VELVEETA cheese, (what happened to the $8.00 sandwiches??? - (maybe tax was $1.85 you can't tell because you can't get a recipe from Square) I think that was a little high but I could have lived with it if it had been made right. THIRD: I was over charged for my sandwich also, if the glasses of WATER were $2 each, the board said $8.00 for wraps and sandwiches, I was charged $14.36 for my sandwich plus two glasses of water. There was NO notice that you charged for water, it was NOT on the menu board! A glass of water $2.00 - WHAT!!! I would have brought my own water in from my car, or walked out if I would have seen it on your menu board. FOURTH: I had to ask the waitress twice for a receipt she finally ran in the back and came out with a handwritten one for $16.36 + $9.85. I questioned her about the prices and she got very defensive with me, raising her voice and telling me I was being disrespectful to her. I have been a waitress and I would NEVER be mean or nasty to a waitress, I know what they go through. So she was over reacting and should not be dealing with the public. I told her all I wanted was for her to explain the charge she charged me. She got so frustrated she said fine, I'll give you your money back for the water. She should have given us a nice discount because we didn't get the sandwiches we ordered. I kept asking her to explain, I said "there is no place on the board stating that you charge for water. I thought she charged me for fruit infused water - maybe I would have accepted that, but not plain water. She finally just got so out of control and said "fine I'll be the bigger person and walk away," still not explaining but she did in the fit of fury say that the drive thru was $8.00 and the inside price for a sandwich was $9.00 - there again, not being open and above board with anything. So that was $26.21 whatever the price was I gave her a 15% tip on top of it, but that is another problem with Square, you tip before you get the service, never again being charged for two wrong sandwiches, and two glasses of water. It was just a horrible experience. Needless to say we won't ever go back to your cafe again.

This is the perfect go-to for a quick homecooked meal when you don't feel like cooking. P.S. the macaroni salad has no business being so good!

I've been curious about their little drive in for a while and finally stopped by the storefront on Reed. They had a fun selection of down home comfort foods and very reasonable prices. I'm looking forward to trying a take and bake catering style meal for 4!
