This is an old fast food restaurant chain like Dairy Queen for which I have nostalgic memories. The outlets now days are often a but "down at heel". Service is on par with the fast food segment. Everything is fried in oil. That's what "fish and chips" is. I really like that on occasion. I'm glad there are some outlets still around. The one in my home town has closed.
I haven't had LJS in quite a while so we were excited to stop in. Like it has always and forever been the tables were dirty(every single LJS is this way) , lol. We cleaned one off and stayed and ate. Our food was outstanding, the fries were cooked perfectly the fish and chicken were hot and fresh. Only complaint was how big of shred the cole slaw was but it was tasty(not like it used to be years ago when it was REALLY good), and really that is all that mattered.
On June 23rd 2024, I was traveling from North Dakota, and going 30 hours South. I stopped here to eat lunch with my children. This was my birthday. I was DEVASTATED when I realized I had left/lost my wallet there. I did not notice this until 7 hours South. I do not know what customer turned my wallet in, but I sure would love to know so that I could thank them and send them something to show my appreciation! ?? ? You see, I have a little boy that died.
