Remarkable experience amid very rustic surroundings. My wife and I dined here without preconceived expectations. WOW! From the opening course until the dessert it was top 5 dining experience of all time, which includes very nice places internationally. While the opening courses were memorable, the steak was top 3…ever. Realizing numbers 1 and 2 were Kobe beef which is an unfair comparison. The char and attention to a perfect medium rare on a large piece of beef is incredible. Having read the other reviews, I am struck by certain people ordering seafood (wrong location) and those discrediting the char on the steak aren’t credible. Another person downgrading based on feeling “rushed “ should choose a French restaurant. Our service was impeccable and on point. Positive shout out to the owners for being so accommodating.

This place came highly recommended by a friend. The steak was excellent (which is why it's a 4 and not a 3). The portions of the rest of the meal were very small. For the $100 a plate price tag I'd like to leave with leftovers, but that wasn't the case. The salad was pretty much bagged like from Walmart. The soup had stale croutons on top. The vegetable cheesecake style appetizer was creative and tasty but came with 2 crackers each plate. The potatoes were essentially flavorless. The cauliflower was like a sweet chili flavoring and it was insanely good - but again like 2 bites worth. We had a holiday dessert when we went and it was supposed to be my cheat night - which means no guilt to eat the whole dessert and I usually eat all of mine AND my hubs leftovers. I ate 2 bites of mine and didn't eat anymore. The service was good. Fairly intimate settings. Again, love the steak and inventiveness of the dishes but 2 bites worth of food in each course besides the steak left me underwhelmed. Oh and the virgin daiquiri was awesome.

Can't say enough about this place. My wife and I along with some great friends finally had a chance to dine at Gobblers Roost. Absolutely fantastic. Nice generous portions of fresh food made to order. Awesome staff and owners. We will definitely be going back.
