Amazing food, you should not eat the days before your reservation. Serving sizes are ridiculous!

A Small place by reservation only, that gives you an intimate and upscale experience at a reasonable cost. My husband and I fell in love with this quaint cabin style restaurant after our very first visit more than 2 years ago. We ultimately have become regular monthly customers and have a standing monthly reservation. The owners and main chefs, personally check on every table and guarantee that your steak is cooked to perfection. With a full 5 course meal featuring our favorite main course, 2 very large PREMIUM-melt in your mouth-cut it with a fork-tender-fillet on each plate, No one leaves hungry and few leave without some left to take home. Of course, I wouldn’t dare leave this review without mentioning their signature red onion vinaigrette salad dressing, as I look forward to this part of the meal following each unique appetizer and seasonal soup. We usually end the meal splitting a desert and arguing about who has to drive home. It’s THAT good.

We had a great evening at the Gobblers Roost. We were able to sit in the private room in the back of the main restaurant and enjoy a delicious and comfortable dinner! Not to say the main restaurant did not look comfortable, upon entering you are greeted by a warm and cozy atmosphere that is very nicely decorated in a consistent theme. You can even see turkey tracks on the floor! The staff was such a delight to be with. They really do go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food was served across 5 courses, and each course had fantastic flavors and a feeling of being crafted with care. We started with a plum, pineapple, sauce, and mint. Each flavor was unique, but the magic happened when you ate a piece of each together. Someone really worked on that pairing, and it showed! Next, we enjoyed a small cup of soup that contained Gnocchi. I have to say I haven't had Gnocchi that well cooked before, light and texture perfect! The salad came next, and I almost asked for the salad sauce recipe. It was an onion style vinegarette that really tasted unique and delicious. Next, we enjoyed the main course of ribeye steak, and one of us had the turkey breast. Had I known it would be this big, I would have shared, lol! A huge portion of perfectly cooked ribeye with an amazing glaze (I did ask for that recipe and low and behold they sell it!). The asparagus was perfectly cooked, and our potato was also. For the last course we had a lemon cream cake that I should have taken home, I was too full, but I just had to try it right there to make sure it rounded off a perfect dinner. It did. What an amazing meal! Oh, and did I mention you also get an amazing loaf of bread? Don't eat too much of that early on, even though it is delicious! Thank you so much for an amazing evening! We will definitely be back!

Wow! What an amazing experience and meal! Highly recommend. Great staff and service!!
We finally went to Gobbler's Roost on Easter Sunday... it was so good! It took a little over an hour to get there, but it was well worth it (and we got to see some COWS!). Everything, from the salad table to the triple-layer carrot cake with cream cheese icing, was superb. I had the pecan-dusted fried chicken - yummy! - and hubby had the prime beef filet. He loved his as well. The cook/owner said she switches up the menu every month... prix fixe style somewhat: you choose from a few different entrees/types of meat. That day there was the beef filet or T-bone steak, the fried chicken, pork chops, or the seafood platter to choose from. Delicious - we'll be back!

Most unprofessional restaurant I have encountered. Sent 2 texts and left 2 voice mails for reservation and never received a response. As a business owner myself I cannot believe the lack of a response. If they cannot follow up on a reservation request, how can they handle the execution of a meal?

This was a great little fine. This restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, but is an excellent restaurant. It was $80 per person for a five horse meal, we had an appetizer of peaches ricotta cheese, broccoli, cheddar, soup, salad, 16 to 18 ounce, incredible beef fillets, and peanut butter cake. The steak would be about three portions for one person. It was so big. They also had incredible bread for the table. The large portions it was excellently prepared.
Parking: There was plenty of parking but be prepared to drive down seven or 8 miles of dirt road before you get there
Kid-friendliness: I don’t know how much the kids prices would be, but kids seem like they would like it
Wheelchair accessibility: It is not handicap assessable. There is gravel walkways into the restaurant and the only bathroom is not handicap accessible.
