We just moved to the area and decided to do a road trip to the distillery. What a cool little place, we had two flights tasting a bunch of the products. The flavors and smells were amazing, we left with 2 bottles of goodness. We will be back in the near future to buy more stuff.

Several months ago , 4 of us made the trek out to mid Missouri to take the tour of the Wood Hat Spirits distillery. We met Gary , the owner & founder of the brand . What a unique man & distillery . He walked us through the whole process & when the tour was complete , we ended up in the tasting room . There we sampled 8 different bourbons , all were very delicious . They even have their brand of honey , made right there . We ended up buying Montgomery County bourbon , Blue Corn bourbon , Bloddy Dapper bourbon , WHO-8 bourbon , & some honey . Fast forward to this weekend at the Kimmswick , MO apple butter festival & Wood Hat spirits had a tent there . Ended up buying a bottle of Brew Barrel bourbon there . Seems they get to many locations in the state . If you're a bourbon fan , you won't go wrong trying Wood Hat spirits..

This place was recommended to me by someone so I grabbed my sister and stopped by on a public event birthday bash celebrating the owner. It was such a fun experience on a Saturday afternoon!
I would have gladly paid for the tour - but on this day they offered a free tasting event where we received our pick of whiskey to sample. They were all fantastic, including the cordials.
It's a small place, but tended to by thoughtful folks who care about what they're doing and enjoy sharing their legacy. It's worth a stop if you enjoy whiskey!

Had a wonderful tour and tasting, love seeing all the operation from the test plots of the corn varieties being grown to tasting the final product. Love the taste of their products. If you haven’t already tried it you need to. Thank you for the time you spent with three of us. We will be back .

Took a trip out to Wood Hat Spirits while visiting St Louis. Seen them on Brewzle and a few other videos and thought I would check them out. So glad I did! Tried several samples and was blown away! Some of the best whiskey I have ever tasted! Unique flavors that I have never experienced in other bourbons. A must visit for any enthusiast!

The owner and his staff were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I’ve been on a couple distillery tours and tastings in Kentucky and this was far better. Everyone was warm and personable. They spent time discussing all the nuances of their craft.

A+ visit to learn about whiskey. But since stepping in the door we received the history of the Wood Hat and the different flavors, styles, and types. They make honey in the whiskey barrels too! Great taste. I will return and totally recommend you stop in and take a tour of the Wood Hat 🎩
