This is a hidden gem. If you are around the Highway N and Z area, you need to drive down Z into New Melle. Great food, great prices and the staff are fun. They have expanded and there are multiple seating areas. Take a look at my photos. I had the fish tacos and she had the fried tacos. Dont be Scared to go in and enjoy 🙂

Our first visit to Maracas was a nice one. I had the Pullo Cancun (shrimp, chicken, rice) and it was great. My wife had a very nice burrito. Drinks were top notch. You can't ask for more than good food, smiling faces, and reasonable prices. Happy customers here.

The nacho’s with all meat. Very little hamburger, the chicken was dried out with awful flavor and loaded with beans the cheapest thing to put on it. Hardly any cheese. Chips were stale. Won’t be returning. The same guy from before is still there greeting everyone, that parks his silver van by the front door.

After the change of ownership, Maracas is SO back! If you haven’t been in a while, I suggest you give them another try. The margaritas are SO STRONG but also SO DELICIOUS!!! Let’s just say that by the time we made it to the bottom of the cup, I was having a good time 🤣🥴 And I even split it with my mom!! If I had a large all to myself, I would have been on the floor Needless to say…. I will definitely be back!! The only thing that still needs some improvement are the chips (I like when they are very fresh—warm and thin and crispy 🤤) but I know they will get there!!
