New Melle Baking Company made my son’s first birthday so special! The custom cakes were absolutely perfect, beautifully designed, delicious, and exactly what we had hoped for. One of the biggest highlights was how accommodating they were with my son’s egg allergy. They went the extra mile to find a recipe so he could have his own egg-free smash cake, which meant the world to us!
Elizabeth was fantastic to work with, so kind, responsive, and detail-oriented. She made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how amazing everything looked and tasted. We used their services for our daughter's wedding in Defiance. I ordered four 1/4 sheet cakes and one 6" round. Elizabeth is so talented in baking and decorating the cakes. She made all the flavors I asked for and they all were so moist, delicious, fresh and flavorful! The buttercream frosting is most delicious! The vanilla almond cake with dark cherry filling could be called cherry pie cake! Vanilla with strawberry filling went fast, and chocolate cake with raspberry was so fantastic, chocolate with cookies and cream was our daughter's favorite and chocolate with espresso butter cream was so very rich and decadent. All cakes were moist and exceptional in flavor and decoration!
Also their coffee cake is outstanding! Breakfast sandwiches and breakfast casserole are very good as well. We live an hour away in Illinois and will drive to enjoy this bakery, they are that good!

We asked what they could do, any suggestions and they had great ideas: we did cake pops, mini apple pies & pumpkin pies (AMAZING!!!!!) and our normal chicken salad sandwich bites which we requested and they accommodated above & beyond. Absolutely love, my special orders, walk in treatment, and the absolutely delicious food! The danishes have to be my favorite. But we have ordered cupcakes, cookie cakes, coffee, cakes, breakfast, casseroles… Cannot say enough about how good this food is!

Every time I enter, I’m excited about trying something new. A new recipe the bakery is trying out, a new type of coffee or expresso I haven’t ventured into yet, or even putting together a breakfast casserole with a fancy coffee. Homemade biscuits, croutons, gooey butter cake - these items only last minutes in my home. I working on a better workout so that I don’t have to give up my visit to the bakery. Truth be told it is worth the money and the calories. Sooooo good. Thankful for new owners who really love this town we call home.
