“I love a place that is willing to make their customers happy, I was looking forward to going here for their Neapolitan pizza but the first pizza left a lot to be desired, they said they would bring us out another pie and they did and wow was it night and day to the first one. We really enjoyed our experience here, the bartender was friendly and fast, the food was good and the karaoke was entertaining.“

“The Roost is our golf league sponsor all summer long. They provide dinner to our winning captain all league. We always go after league to the Roost on Cox Rd and they take great care of us. We are an erratic, lively bunch that shows up all at once, so we can be a real handful. But always do great work!!! Thanks Gene Lofaro!!!!“

“My daughter found this out-of-the-way gem with her college friends, so we had to try it for MSU Family Weekend. She was right - great food, great service! We arrived 10 mins before the kitchen closed, but not a problem. All our food - burgers, hot ham and cheese. pork tenderloin, battered fries - was great, but the tuna steak was AMAZING!! A nice surprise!“

“I don’t recommend this place at all! Worked here back in 2013 on the restaurant side and for no reason (or should I say some bs reason), banned my husband from coming in there. He didn’t come in when I was working nor did he ever cause any trouble when he did come in. The owner at the time and the other employees just didn’t like him. That tells me a lot about little towns. Food back then wasn’t even all that great! Haven’t been back since I quit and will never go back there! I hit no on do you recommend but it says that I recommend this place. Not going to the trouble to redo my post!“

“This is our neighborhood bar and we started coming to the Thursday night concert series. Great atmosphere. The bartender Caroline is super sweet and efficient. The owners took the extra time to create a dish for me that fit my needs based on the ingredients they had!“
“Great little hotel bar with a good restaurant. Never stayed here because we live down the street, but we walk here about once a month to grab dinner and a drink. Great service! Kasside is a fantastic bartender! We tend to be food snobs, but for a hotel restaurant the food is really good!!“

“While Hy-Vee is always very clean and organized there sometimes things that just set it apart from other stores. I went in last week a few days before prom and was panicking to try to find flowers for my daughter for prom and Melissa in the floral department was so amazing and her flowers were so lovely. She put such a lovely bouquet together and at a very reasonable price. it took so much stress off of me and my daughter thought they were lovely.“
