Great local little ma and pa sandwich shop! They have the softest bread, the freshest flavors, a sub sauce that's bangin' and the staff was welcoming and friendly.

No need to drive all the way to Springfield. Absolutely perfectly prepared Crab dinner plate with high quality Crab clusters. I have ate my share of Crab legs for the past 50 years...

Always good food at Big Al's, the bread is just right, the price is good. If you want great food and support local businesses Then get over to Big Al's. I recommend the Big A sandwich with mild Chi peppers.

This place is the best sandwich shop in the 417 area code, and one of the best I’ve ever had. The bread is the best part, but all the ingredients are fresh as well. The service is always great, and it’s a kool little shop.

The place may not look like a lot from the outside, but their food packs a heckin one-two punch of flavor and value.

I always go from the Big Papa Beef Philly with extra cheese, but recently my mom's been onto their fajita bowls. She says they're better than the big place that charges extra for guac and she's a snob, so I believe her.

Excellent sandwich. Always hit Big Al's. (Well. Not really hit. Don't do that again.)

Kind of disappointed. Chicago style theme. Ordered a foot long sub dressed with what was recommended on the menu. Price was good..$10. The bread was doughy like it needed baking and they doused it with way too much oil. Wasn't offered toasting. I'll still give other items a try but the execution on the sub was not the best.
