Hinode Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi

Charging someone with food allergies and UPCHARGE is ILLEGAL!!! Beware before going that they charge if you have food allergies! HORRIBLE

We called a lunch order in at 12:45 on Wednesday the 15th. The lady said it would be ready in 20 minutes. An hour later it was finally done. They said they had to wait for the calamari to thaw. She wanted to make sure we had fresh food. She should have told us on the phone. We'll they over cooked it. It was so tough you couldn't chew it. And my wife's chicken was awful. We've usually had good luck with Hinodes, but thus time not so much. Nothing was even said about the order being so late either.

We had the best cook! His name was victor, and we was so involved with the little boy we had with us. He let me “help him” cook and everything. If you go here try to get victor as your cook 10/10 recommend such a fun and funny guy!

Dining in is always an experience at the hibachi grill, but I just love if I order takeout I still get so much food and it is always delicious! Always love the excellent service!!!

1) the food was awesome! 2) But, for the first time in the 3 to 4 years we have been going to Hinodes, we had to wait an hour before the chef came to our table. We had a 1 year old and 4 year old, and they were very hungry. Our service that night was not the norm. Can't wait for the next time I visit Nixa!!!

Typically, I have great things to say about Hinode. However, tonight we walked in at 8:50 (Saturday night), and we were turned away because they close at 9pm. It's my understanding that when a restaurant puts a closing time on their door, they seat customers until that time. Your closing time should be consistent with the time that you decide to stop seating customers.

We had a Birthday Party of 16 people on 9/27/24. The chef was amazing! He cooked both tables of our group. He was very sweet to the kids and made there experiences fun! The food he cooked was the best I’d ever had there! The chef was attentive, kind, fun, and friendly. 5Star Birthday service! I already can’t wait to go back! Thank you Hinode!

The hosts Isabella was the rudest young lady! We called ahead at 6:45pm and made reservations for 7:45pm. We get there at 7:32pm and she cannot find our name. Asks what location we called. Then tells us our reservation was at 6:30?? Ummm how is that possible when we called at 6:45pm! She then tells us we can not eat there they were too full! Manager comes we explain then she rolls her eyes and shakes her head! Manager tells us we will get a table by at least 8pm. We say ok. While waiting on the bench Isabella is talking to the girl behind the moon shaped top. Talking about us! If it would have not been for my children who wanted Hindo we would have walked out after telling the manager about this very rude young lady!
We sat at our grill for an hour!!!! Place was so Smokey and off que! Food was amazing but will never forget back! Walking out the door Isabella is still running her mouth about us and how we wrong in our time! My husband pulled out his phone to show her and told her to learn some manners!

We eat in and do take out, every single time we order take out, it's messed up in one way or another. Tonight's order will do it for me no more thank you. Just when you think it'll be good this time. It's not! So no thank you, I won't be back.

I ordered togo on a Wednesday night at about 6:15 and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. I was prepared to wait because this is Hinode, not McDonald's. I only ordered one hibachi meal and it was finally ready at 7:05. I understand you guys are understaffed a lot and the togo person Jess was very attentive and even apologetic for the wait. Shrimp hibachi was to die for.
