I’ve been eating at Railroad Cafe for a year now and love it! It’s a small place run by husband & wife Shawn & Brandy. Service is a bit slow, as it’s just the 2 of them, but everything is worth waiting for. Their decaf coffee is fantastic! Brandee is always willing to modify her delicious food to accommodate my diet, and she makes the best darn omelets I’ve tasted!
The cafe is full of locals who eat there regularly, but anyone off the street will feel welcome. I highly recommend the Railroad Cafe!

Another hidden delight. We were just driving back to Mountain Grove from Ava and needed some breakfast. This place was a little restaurant next to the railroad. We ordered and wasn't sure what to expect. What we got was a delicious meal and great service. If you just want drive thru then do that, if you want great food with fast service, try the Railway cafe. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly... We will be back .. hope to see you there too...

I had a double cheese burger and onion rings. It was ready quick, the burger patties were hand pressed, the veggies on the burger were fresh. It was a mighty fine lunch. I will return.

This place is worth the few minute drive off the highway if you are looking for some great food. The cheeseburger was a damn fine cheeseburger. Super juicy and nice toasty bun. The seasoned fries were just as tasty. My husband had the opened faced roast beef with gravy and smashed potatoes with coleslaw. The roast beef was made with love and the coleslaw is top notch. If you are looking for some homemade desserts, they have that too, although we were too full to try...unfortunately. Stop in and take a break from your long drive. You will not be disappointed. 👌🏻
