Holy delicious!!! Traveling through Kansas City to O’Dessa on our way to Indiana and had to stop in and try some of Vig’s KC BBQ. SO glad we did! Amazing food, excellent service and portions out of this world. The Carolina reaper soaked pickles are a must try! The sauces were so good too. We had pulled pork, BBQ ribs, baked beans and a hashbrown corn casserole that was AMAZING! If you are traveling through the area do yourself a favor and stop in and see Vig! You won’t be disappointed!!!

The barbecue was great! I had the brisket sandwich. The barbecue sauces and pickles were definitely spicy. This authentic KC barbecue was a nice break from a full days road trip.

Fantastic local BBQ with an amazing owner! Messaged Vig to see if I could bring my family of 7 in 10 minutes before closing (taking a cross country trip and got stuck in traffic in St. Louis). He said no problem and was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. He blessed my kids with goodies and all of us with generous portions. The food and BBQ sauces were amazing! We had the sampler and EVERYTHING was awesome! The Turkey…best we’ve ever had! If you’re driving I-70, make a point of stopping here!

Visited out of town from Iowa, and wasn’t disappointed. Owner was class act gentleman, served me the burnt ends and I couldn’t decide on the sides so he gave me all of them. Great good visit if you’re in town!!

Oh my goodness what a sandwich. I got the Burnt Ends and my wife got the Rubin. Mine was big, but that Ruben was HUGE!!! AND IT ALL WAS GREAT! We don't need to make BBQ great again, but if do, this is where we start. Vig is KEEPING BBQ GREAT for sure. Don't forget to have the beans! So good.

Food was amazing! And you get a lot!! We took leftovers to warm up later for dinner. The beans are out of this world. And the cheesy corn/potato side was so yummy. My husband ate so many pickles. Vig makes them himself and they are so good. This is a must stop!

If you are driving to and from KC/STL, this place is a must stop for food. Right in quaint downtown of Odessa, the food here is amazing. The owner took our order, served our food, and even on the way out, made sure we refilled our cups for the rest of the roadtrip. If you like BBQ, you will be glad you stopped!!

Finger lickin’ goodness. The best Burnt Ends. Fall off the bone St. Louis style ribs. Tangy and spicy sauces added to the fab flavors. Other tasty bites: cheesy corn tots with ham, cuke and onion salad(loved this picked combo), beans with hunks of pork and oozing with molasses. Yummy pickles both dill and spicy. Small town business showing food love! Big heart= full and happy tummy. I will be back next time I pass thru.

Nestled in Odessa,MO right outside of KC’s BBQ orb, is Vig’s. Vig has the Midas touch with Q. Small town + Big heart= off the charts finger lickin’ goodness! Burnt ends, ribs, cheesy corn tots with ham, cuke and onion salad all fantastic. Sauces range from mild to hot. All great. Pickles rank up there too. If Vig says its hot, trust him.
