Greatest bakery of all time. I'm sad to see it close. I just bought my final dozen and it's sad knowing this will be the last time I get to enjoy one of the old fashion donuts from here. The owners definitely deserve a long and relaxing retirement.

I LOVE this Bakery! You just don't find them like this anymore. Back in 2004 my Husband Bradley and I ordered a 3 Their Wedding Cake w/small white artificial doves on it. The cake was white w/white icing & was so fluffy that it melted in my mouth when we cut the cake & fed each other a piece of cake. This Bakery made my wedding day a fantasy. Heaven Scent did, NOT, disappoint.

Staff was amazing. Cookies are iced beautifully and large. Lots of different themes. Kids would love them. However, the cupcakes are probably the worst I've ever had. Dry, flavorless cake and over iced for the amount of cake they give. Based on the amount of cupcakes in the shop, I dont think its their specialty anyway. I would like to go back and try the donuts and other deserts though. I'll update post when I do.

Donuts are wonderful! They have adorable sweets that vary during the year, especially the decorated cookies. I like the breakfast sandwiches and my sister's family loves the biscuits n gravy.

It was nice to be able to sit down and enjoy coffee and doughnuts. They have many different doughnuts to choose from in their display case. The coffee was fresh and hot. Fast service. Friendly staff.

The last few times I've been in the quality of the donuts has went down. Overall smaller and sometimes cooked a little too long. However this is by far my favorite and Only place I will get a White Icing long John donut. And yes I used to have them shipped to me cross country when I was stationed on both coast of the US. So I will never stop coming and getting donuts just hoping the quality of the donuts ? come back. I miss the Larger than life donuts!

Money hungry. Ordered 3 varieties of donuts through doordash, 7 total. They were out of stock of all 3 so instead of issuing a refund, they decided to give me 7 Glazed twist donuts. They Said they called - I got a call from a toll free 1-888 spam number and was left a 2 second silent voicemail. Zero communication.I called the store asking for resolution and I was told that I "ignored" their phone calls and it's standard practice to sub anything with a twist donut. It would be better to refund the out of stock items rather than give out stuff I didn't order. Especially when you did not speak to me. Sounds like you just wanted the money rather than making things right. Lost a long time customer tonight over $25.

I am disappointed. I went to the store in person to order my daughters birthday cake. A chocolate cake with whipped cream icing from Heaven Scent Bakery was the one thing my daughter asked for specifically for her birthday. I reviewed the cake options with a staff member and picked a specific cake. My daughter likes maroon, pink, and purple colors. I requested the same colors on the cake as pictured, along with the addition of purple. I spelled out my daughter's and observed the staff members writing it on the order form (Isabella). I didn't pick up the cake myself; my mother picked it up to help out. When I saw the cake, it was not the exact colors I had chosen. Not that big of a deal, BUT my daughter's name was spelled incorrectly. They spelled it "Isebella". The cake flavor was okay, Schnucks, Dierburgs, and Sam's taste just as well. Actually, Dierburgs cakes taste a little better. The cake was approximately $50. I do expect the Name on the cake to be spelled correctly when I spelled it out, and it is a common spelling of the Name Isabella.Previous experience in January, we had covid, so we ordered doughnuts through a food delivery service. It was afternoon or later in the day. The 2 boxes that were ordered were stale or old doughnuts. They were bad enough that they should have been tossed and not sold.Two negative experiences are enough to not go back.

I stopped by Heaven Scent Bakery late this morning and they had a nice selection even though they were really busy. They're a little farther out than I usually travel but definitely worth the drive! They have some of the best Sour Cream Old Fashioneds that I've had in a while and there Apple Filled donuts are delicious with an amazing Caramel icing! Their Apple Fritters are gigantic and perfectly golden brown! I'm glad I made the drive out! They even have a 24 hour drive through if you get a late night Donut craving!

Last time I had come to Heaven Scent was a few months ago. The experience hadn't been pleasant (donuts had obviously been baked and frozen, they still hadn't completely thawed when I went to try one), but I figured to give them a second shot this morning.Had gone in with the intent of getting some sticky pecan rolls, which were not in the glass case. Double checked with staff to make sure they still carried them, they said they did but were currently out of them. The reason I am writing this review is because as I was walking out she goes "We should have some maybe tomorrow. Probably."When did they stop baking multiple times a day? When did they stop baking even ONCE a day? And not even for everything they allegedly carry? That would mean they are still freezing their donuts, which gives them such an off-putting texture.Take your business elsewhere, because either the budget cuts or complete lack of management has let the quality slip considerably.
