The food is good and the interior is clean and open. The only real issue comes with the service. One, it took me over an hour to get my meal of a simple burger, this is with the context that I was just one of three total patrons in the entire restaurant. Two, they had poor communication/labeling for their beers. The beer I thought I ordered, they did not have, and instead I received a different variant of the beer (not a big ordeal, but still a complaint). Lastly, three, the bar tender lied about the total of my meal and did not give me any change back. She told me that my total was 'x' amount. I then paid, expecting change back to then add to the tip. Instead, she kept all the change and went away. I waited partly, but then decided to leave, making the difference lost her tip (even at that point the tip was above 25%). As I left, I reviewed over my receipt and found out that the amount she charged me was a significant amount MORE than I should of been charged. So overall, she charged me for more than I owed and then kept the difference for herself, without even asking for permission on my end for anything. This deceptiveness and the long wait are what mostly influenced my review. I would recommend this place, but only with the condition that they fix and improve their service.
2 stars for the Christmas decorations. As Molly said, "if only they put the same effort into their food/drinks as they do in their decorations".1. Be prepared to pay $10 for 5 toasted ravioli which would not be a problem if they're gourmet w Mama Mia hand rolling the dough out in the back, but instead they bait and switch you as the description says, 1/2 dozen toasted ravioli, "but the scrooge kept one".2. They only have 3 holiday drinks available on a drink menu w 10 or more drinks. They were out of certain beers, as well. Perhaps, you make a drink menu of what you can provide.3. Teach your staff that it's impossible to eat queso with tiny, broken chips and have your servers give less attitude, but instead focus on great customer service to counter the kitchen/bar issues.I recommend a menu w simple descriptions. Hopefully, after the holidays you can retire your "Holiday" menu. Less is best.✌
Came to the restaurant around 5pm with my fiance and 2 friends of ours. I was surprised to see there wasn't anyone to greet us...seeing as how all of the wait staff was hanging out at the bar with 2 of the bartenders. They just watched us as we waited by the door until we saw a sign that said "see bartender for seating". That was my first indication that they were short staffed. The bartender was literally the nicest guy, but he had split duty of being our waiter AND tending the bar that had customers. I'm very confused as to why he had split duty? They HAD at least 5 waitresses on staff and the restaurant was very slow. Again we went at 5pm on a Tuesday night.Regardless of how nice our bartender/waiter was. It's unacceptable that it took an hour for us to get our food. We didn't get checked on often, again due to our waiter also worker behind the bar which did get busy. But this is a staffing issue and quite frankly is an attentive issue. They had the wait staff available sense a completely different girl served our food. She forgot that we had another entree and had to run back for it.The food itself isn't anything to write home about. At the end of the day. There is a laundry list of restaurants in the area I would recommend before I suggest this place. Maybe it was an off night? But still with how slow they were at 5pm, I'd hate to see how they run a busy shift.
We had a 1 hour wait which we waited for because we were eager to try their food and the decorations were cute. An hour went by and we had to go back in to ask if they were ready for us which was an hour and 10 minutes. They do not greet anyone at the front- you are ignored for 10 minutes until they come greet you and they leave dirty tables sit for a while too.We were also ignored by 4 waitresses when we tried to pay at the bar when it was time to leave. They all even made eye contact with us. Slowest service ever. No effort really being made. Our waitress was nice tho. Food is a little pricey just glad it wasn't as bad as the service.
Great delicious food and drinks! We stayed for lunch and dinner! The service was wonderful, even when they got busy. I did notice a group who were less than friendly to the wait staff. make sure you read what you order and be kind to the workers so hopefully they will still want to work here!
We had rough and very slow service for a table of five and only a couple other tables were occupied. While they stated they were short staffed (after we were desperate to pay and leave), there were plenty staff consistently hanging around talking at the bar with dirty tables that sat at least an hour before being touched. There was trash, beer bottles and glasses left around the outside patio area. We arrived at 1pm on a Sunday for the festive holiday pop up lunch and drinks. We didn’t leave until almost 4:30!! We only ended up with one round of drinks which were awful. Luckily the beer was cold. Food was just ok. None of us are picky, ordered anything customized nor are any of us drink snobs. The kicker! The attitude of the owner was pathetic and embarrassing. When we spoke with him (after reluctantly making it over to our table) his immediate response was placing blame on his staff, then stated “Let’s get one thing straight, I don’t work here. I own the place.” Then explains to us that his server was crying in the back. Really?!? He proceeds to gloat about owning the location on Main Street among other establishments like that’s supposed to make our experience better. Due to further laughable behaviors, I can promise you I would rather enjoy microwaved food at a chain restaurant than ever support this business. Good luck.

I don’t leave reviews very often, but felt compelled to for this place. The staff was fine and mostly friendly. The food was absolutely awful. I got the brisket sandwich and it was extremely tough and mostly fat. I can honestly say this was the worst meal I have ever had at a restaurant. My wife had the portobello ravioli which she described as shockingly average, but at least it was only $19 for a couple pieces of ravioli and some sliced red pepper. On the plus side my kids didn’t seem to mind the butter noodles and chicken strips. For $85 bucks it is safe to say we won’t be back. Honestly I would not go back if it was free.
I’ve been to Quintessential on Main Street in St. Charles as well as Q64. Each location always gives top-notch service. The food is incredible, and the drinks are always delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend both locations. We will be back soon!
Second time l attended an event @ this venue as a supporter of the organization who had a Jazz Group the first time and R&R the second. The food was so bad the 1st time that we ate b4 attending the 2nd.Noticed the staff deliver loaded nachos & other appetizers without side plates for sharing. A couple we invited purchased nachos & the chicken, cheese & "corn"(new as wasn't on them @ our 1st visit) was cold...smh. Not a restaurant & bar drinks nothing to write home about but young staff was great @ keeping the trays picked up...
Prompt service. Quality food. It’s a great spot for family, friends and food/drink.
I ate here this evening and got the beef brisket which included a side. I asked the bartender if I could get chips and queso instead of the fries he said yes. Once they rung me up with my card which only had my total on it I swiped my card after getting a receipt they charged me $4 extra for the side which should have not been charged. I asked for a refund on the chips and he refused and said my bad sorry about that he refused my request. I will never be back nor will I recommend Q64. I will give a manager a chance to reply. Which I highly doubt that care or will provide me with a full refund but I will make sure I highly express my utmost disappointment with this place. Their drinks are weak too and very overpriced for marginal garbage food. The beef brisket was 90 percent lard
