Food was excellent and waitress Sadie was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the Cuban and the Club and the deep fried potato salad! Never had that before and definitely glad we chose it. Tables outside were sticky and drinks pretty weak but over all would visit again if in Missouri.

This place is huge! Boat parking and car parking. Gas station for your watercraft as well (check hours closed on Mondays). They have a main area with tons of outdoor seating and a pool. They also have some indoor seating. Then they have next door a 5 tier pool with a large stage for live music (check the website for music schedule, age restriction hours, and days of operation). We sat at the main area outside. There are lots of flies so turn on the fans or ask for the little fly spinners. We ordered the grouper finger appetizer which was crusted with corn flakes and super good, and it came with a raspberry tarter sauce which was great. We also got the jalapeno popper appetizer (you order per popper), and it is gigantic and absolutely stuffed with cream cheese and crab, great breading as well, it also came with a raspberry sauce which paired great, and ranch. These will fill you up so we also shared a seafood pasta. It comes with a deep fried dinner roll (so good), and a side salad. The pasta was super creamy and had good flavor. We also shared the grouper sandwich (which you can get fried, blackened or grilled), we got ours blackened and we chose fried green beans as our side from the recommendation of our server. The sandwich was great and came with regular tarter sauce, the fish was cooked perfect and had great flavor. The only thing was maybe it was a thinner or smaller piece of fish so the bread to fish ratio wasn't quite there, but the taste was good. The green beans came with ranch to dip and the batter was similar to like a fried pickle batter. They have a daily special and for Monday it is a dollar off Pain in the ass drinks (normally $9, so $8 on special). They are served blended/frozen in a small cup. It was delicious and refreshing, but just be aware of the small drink size for that. Overall we enjoyed our time here and definitely want to come back for swimming or live music for some more atmosphere in the future.

We have been coming to Back Water Jacks for since our kids were young and now with our grandkids. With my parents, kids, grandkids and great grandson, we have been to the restaurant with all five generations! Although not all at the same time. We always go on Thursday for the wings, shrimp and crab Rangoon. We love the food, music and people watching. Our great grandson enjoys going so he can feed the fish, ducks, and turtles. We use to come by water, but now we go by land. Thank you for the delicious food, drinks, great service and memories Back Water Jacks!
