Normally, I have good things to say about this store. Clean, lots of variety, great restaurants inside.I decided to get thier Thanksgiving meal. For about a $100, you can get a 12-14 lb turkey, 2 large mashed potatoes, 16oz of turkey gravy, 2 pumpkin pies, and jumbo butterflake rolls.Sounds like a great deal! The pictures they provided looked awesome! Sadly reality paints a different story.The rolls were horrendous! We tried to give them to friends. Their children sort of liked them. The adults agreed with us, they were not good! They were thick, hard, and tasted weird.The "gravy" was simply broth with the thickener thrown in. It wasn't gravy. We had to cook it on the stove, it was extremely salty. So we had to add extra broth, and corn starch, to dilute it a bit more.Hy-Vee did not roast the turkey! Even though Butterball did a decent job cooking it. I could have simply bought the fully cooked Butterball turkey myself! I went with Hy-Vee because I wanted a turkey that was recently roasted by people. Not machine roasted on a conveyor line at the Butterball factory. Although, it was surprisingly good! Which I can only give credit for that to the Butterball company. I cannot give any credit for the turkey to Hy-Vee.The rest of the meal items were good.Hopefully you read this far. I apologize for the length of this review. It was needed to show this Thanksgiving meal was NOT a good deal! I feel like I got ripped off! Not worth around a $100!!! I could have simply bought the fully cooked Butterball turkey myself, and added the additional items from the bakery, and Deli areas. It would have been less than what I paid for this "catering" order.When I get a catering order. I expect everything to be done at a higher level. Even though I do love the other services at Hy-Vee. I will NEVER get thier holiday catering meals again!

First time at a Hy-Vee grocery store and was pleasantly surprised . The store was clean and very organized with a great layout. They had a huge selection of quality meats. Very enjoyable place to shop with a friendly staff.

I loved this grocery store I really wish they had more locations! I'd compare it to a schnuks with deals and wider variety. They have a lush type kiosk at front, wide liquor options, amazing prepackaged foods with low prices for the most part. I highly recommend the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño peppers

The sushi trays,brown fiber bottom trays is know to have PFAS, to provide moisture resistant to the fibers.PFAS has been well documented in other stores , Kroger, Albertson’s, Walmart that have moved away from these types of molded fiber trays in food packaging. Google PFAS food packaging

I have used Hy vee online for the past 5 years with no problem. That has changed though. I have to wait much longer , 3 or 4 days for a delivery slot and I usually have to go to the store before that for some items. Yesterday during a delivery the handle broke on one of the bags and 2 cartons of yogurt split open. The poor driver felt bad. I sent an email to Hy-Vee with no response. I just called the store and I felt like I was getting the brush off. The manager said he would let me know tomorrow if it can be credited. What has happened to the friendly helpful personnel that used to work there?
Excellent baked goods. Like their store breadsThe meat department has the highest quality cuts. Enjoy their premade entrees.

Love this store, love the food portions that they give you for their dinners, love the different varieties they give you. Also every Hy-Vee gas station that we've gone to gives you free ice water if you come in and want one. It is the only place that gives out their ice water for free. Those of us that work in the elements of the heat in summer appreciate that they are my store hands down!

Refused to honor prices advertised on facebook for their sale this weekend. When I showed them the prices still listed on the website they told me they couldn't fix it and would not adjust any price.

This place is clean, has a great GF section. ( prob the most options iv seen in a grocery store) but a bit pricey. Employees seem rather nice as well. They have a hot food section. Pizza and chinese food. A area to eat at. They also have a floral section. ( over priced) big store with lots of brand options. But also big price tags. If your looking for something particular they probably have it. Their produce seems rather well too. I wouldn't mind shopping here again sometime. But just for the GF. Unless they have good sales on produce.
