I was disappointed with tonight dinner. The spinach artichoke crab dips…. Thick and salty. My waitress didn’t even clear the dirty dishes, she left them stacked up with a table of 8 from appetizers to dinners and asked if we ready for the bills when our deserts didn’t even come out. Never came back and refilled or asked if we wanted more drink ( alcohol beverages) and they were not even busy. There are many businesses on the lake, I certainly will not choose to come back for this kind of service.

I rarely write reviews, but my husband and I were so pleased with our entire experience at Shorty Pants that I simply must. It was a bit chilly the day we went, and we could have sat outside next to the fireplace which looked very comfortable and cozy yet simultaneously spacious enough to lounge or eat, but decided to let the younger crowd have their privacy and dined inside instead. There was plenty of seating that allowed for great views of the water, both on the main level as well as upstairs. We were greeted by smiling faces outside as well as the moment we walked in, given a choice for seating, and immediately waited upon after getting comfortable. Having never been before, and me having a shellfish allergy, our waitress went above and beyond to tell us about the menu and give recommendations. She never rushed us no matter that we kept asking for more time to decide on our main dishes after ordering drinks, an appetizer, and cocktails. And then she made good and sure none of my food had come in contact with shellfish back in the kitchen- those with food allergies will appreciate this care taken by a restaurant specializing in seafood! We had the calamari to start, which was incredible. And then my husband went with the Andouille sausage po boy and I finally decided upon the Mahi tacos, with both of us being unable to resist the twice baked cajun mashed potatoes as our side...and they aren't playing around with that spice! My mouth was a bit on fire, but the flavors were so amazing that I simply didn't care. We also ordered a basket of jalapeño corn muffins that are served with butter and honey, and luckily for me a muffin at the end of the meal managed to neutralize all the spices I'm not used to. (I didn't even need any Tums later that night!) Anytime one of our drinks or cocktails got low, our waitress was there offering a refill. The moment we set an empty plate or side dish out of the way, someone approached to ask if it could be taken off the table for us. At the end of our meal we were given to-go cups for our drinks, given plenty of time to relax instead of being rushed out, and then thanked by multiple people as we were leaving both inside and out of the building. It was an amazing experience made better by wonderful service in a great atmosphere. We will definitely return!

Great service, great atmosphere, and the food was amazing. I had the red beans and rice and it was the best I've had since I was in NO. Dog friendly and outdoor seating are just extras that assure I will be back.

They were so busy when we got off the boat but our server made the wait worth it! To say Amanda is a great server is an understatement! To top it off the food was perfectly wonderful.

Food was ok didn't really blow me out of the water like I was expecting. Service was eh took a while to get my drink refilled and they didn't really know alot about the menu. The inside was nice could've been cleaner and it was moderately cold I asked them if they could turn the fan off due to the low temperature in and outside and they said they were not sure how to.

Great service, great food, unfortunately the spiders were insane outside. I understand that no place can stop any spiders from coming in , however this patio looked like haunted mansion outside so I think that’s what contributed to the spiders. We don’t care about bugs at the Ozarks but by the time the 5th spider dropped on us/ our table we had to move. Inside it was clean, cold, perfect. We did ask to move tables and they moved us immediately to a different table outside which we appreciate! Nothing wrong with this place or bar, we had a great time! Please just clean the lights!

Great food although a couple of our people didn't like their burgers, my blackened Catfish was fantastic! Right on the water, the large carp were fun to watch and our waiter took care of the 12 of us quickly.

Service was slow due to Labor Day weekend which you would expect. When we did finally get our food, my “sliced beef smothered with cheese sandwich” was cold burnt chunks of meat and a slice of unmelted cheese. I could not even eat it. They did remove it from the bill. My complaint is that it took forever to get the order and then it was inedible. It never should have been served to anyone.
