Anytime I come here the experience is never short of amazing. What a hidden little gem. I feel privileged to have ever had the chance to go. Today was the best time of all. Big thanks to Brian! You were so kind and your knowledge of the place is out of this world!

I ate at the Bull Pen as part of large party being hosted there. The food was average. I would be willing to try as a small party, versus the very large group I was a part of.

The food and service are always the best! Love the entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. The Gin Joint is a hidden gem for a casual burger with fun activities including pool, shuffleboard, and even a poker table. Don't be deceived by the outside--what matters is on the inside!

The Bull Pen is one of the most unique places at the lake. The atmosphere is one of a kind and the food is ALWAYS outstanding. As a local, this is our go to spot for a terrific meal. The owners and staff are always accommodating and friendly. They go above and beyond to make this a great experience for their customers. Highly recommend!

We had a very fun night of elegant dinning at this “Members Only” restaurant. Our meals were very good, our server was delightful and they had entertainment as well. The owners know the members by name and treat you like royalty!!! The Bull Pen is also a great place to go on a holiday since you can usually get in there when other restaurants are booked. Give it a try if you get the chance! You will enjoy it!

Our first time dining here was a very pleasant experience. The outside of the restaurant is nothing fancy but the inside is very welcoming. This is a members only but we were invited by a family member. Our waitress was great and we were treated very nicely. The salads were very fresh. Every dish that was ordered was very good. My husband had an filet which he said was probably the best he had ever had and he's had several. He ordered the green beans as his side and didn't care for them. The portions are large. Two people could very easily share a meal. After we ate we went out to the garden which was very pretty. There was also live music which was nice. One thing we really liked was that it was easy to carry on a conversation without much noise. We really enjoyed our evening.

This is a really unique dining/entertainment experience. Great food, great wine, great live music in an upscale setting for those evenings at the Lake of the Ozarks when you're ready to go somewhere other than the usual "flip flop" venues. Don't let the modest exterior of their building fool you. Go on in and be wowed!

My husband and I are members... We moved away 3 years ago, but go everytime we are at the lake. Such unique food and decor.. so relaxing and Nelda and Jerry are amazing people.

First of all, this place is a private supper club. However, they do allow non-members to come once (at least) to see how they like the place. We stopped in for dinner while visiting the area. The husband and wife team is a very nice couple, fun to talk to. The decor is very interesting and well done. They seem to have wine lockers for members to store wine on property. There is a walk in cellar for wine where you can choose you wine off the shelf, rather than by perusing a list. (The list is there as well, if you prefer.) Menu had some nice variety. We tried the escargot, the mussels, the lobster and the sea bass. The escargot also included scallops and mushrooms and was much loved. The mussels were very nice. The sea bass was good. The lobster tails were breaded and deep fried. Tasty, but had never seen that preparation before for lobster tail. The only big "negative" if you will, was the green beans side dish was over-seasoned, too salty. The blackberry crumble for dessert was good, as was the carrot cake. Location is a warehouse park, in a warehouse building. But you forget all that when you walk inside.

My husband and I have a membership at The Bull Pen and took friends, that just bought a 2nd home here at the lake, for dinner. They were so impressed with the atmosphere, the wonderful music provided by the husband and wife team “Claysville Road”, and the food and service. We started with the Beefsteak tomatoes salad with fresh warm rolls, then ordered the Seafood Cannelloni, and the Chicken Florentine entrees. While both were very good, the Seafood stuffed Cannelloni was over the top!!! Just a beautiful, laid back time. We love this place! While they do require an annual membership (guests are admitted free with a member), it is just so nice to have a quiet, romantic dinner!
