I'd go back in a heartbeat! We loved the tacos and burritos, and the waitress was awesome.

Absolutely my most favorite Mexican restaurant anywhere! It's beautiful inside and out and the food and homemade guacamole is just superb!

First time back here in a long time. My favorite used to be the black bean soup. It's no longer on the menu. I tried the flautas and they were good. The ghost pepper hot sauce was very good. Overall, it was good. Food is your average tex-mex kind of fare. Our waitress was attentive and kept drinks filled.

They brought salsa in bowls to the table and there was used chips in the salsa! Very limited menu, and no domestic beer on tap.

The service was awesome and the decor was typical Mexican restaurant but the food was the worst Mexican I’ve ever had. I spent 32 years between Phoenix and Santa Fe so I knew not to expect too much but ugh! The shredded beef chimi was stuffed with yellow American cheese and covered with spaghetti sauce. Just a side of rice. No pintos on the plate. The house margarita was 2.8 out of five. Not sure what my mate got but that’s no dish I’ve ever heard of.

Was here yesterday. Left pretty upset. Our waitress never introduced herself, was very unprofessional, asked for napkins and had to get them myself from the bartender. I see the owner has left replies on here and they don’t sound to professional either. They use Uncle Ben’s instant rice for Christ sake… not a place I’d wanna go back to. I wouldn’t give them one star honestly. Save your money and go to any other restaurant

Vista Grande is my comfort food. I’ve been coming to Vista regularly since my childhood. The flavors are unique and not what you find at a traditional Mexican restaurant. They put their own Midwest spin on Tex Mex, and it’s awesome. My faves are chicken chimi, ground beef enchiladas, spinach enchiladas, pollo y relleno, and fish tacos. The chips and salsa are delicious. Tourists, note that this is a beloved local fave!

Service was amazing! We were 1 of 3 groups of 12 they had that night and they did not miss a thing! Everyone had their own salsa, lots of chips, food was great, and no automatic gratuity for large groups! (We left a healthy tip anyway, but t it feels yucky when it is already added).
