Was great when it first opened. Tried it a few times after that and it has lost its appeal. Burger patties are frozen compressed patties. Not sure if they just started cutting corners after the grand opening.

I had never been to a Wahlburgers before so I was excited to see this at Lake of the Ozarks. It's inside the Hy-Vee. There is a dining room in there for you to eat with self-serve soft drinks, condiments, etc. I ordered The Super Melt (two 1/4 lb burger patties, thick cut bread, government cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, pickles & mustard sauce) with Onion Strings on the side. They give you a number and deliver it to your table. It was OK but not amazing. The burger was overcooked and the bread was overtoasted. The batter on the onion strings ate overly salty. The burger was dry even with the fixings and sauce. Also they aren't cleaning up the tables often enough in the dining room. There were plenty of empties but not clean ones! All in all I'm glad I tried it but I'm not in a rush to try again.

Eggs Benedict was terrible. Hardly any hollandaise sauce & ham was lunch meat. Sent meal back. No appearance from mgr. Server was good so I left her a good tip but not going back.?

06/06/23: 6:35 pm. FILTHY RESTAURANT. Not one table out of 22 tables was clean. Total of 6 people in the restaurant. We had to track someone down to have a table cleaned, so we could eat. Hamburger Salad was good. I had a "our burger" ( Paul Wahlberg) signature burger. Good average buger and good fries. Nothing unique or great about the food. Note: an employee just came out of the kitchen area with a cart with cleaning items. Did not stop to clean any of the 22 tables that are filthy.
