Went up for the day to have ice cream with our little kids and look around. We bought a few things from the store and then the staff completely cleared out, unable to sell ice cream, having all left the store to go attend to a tour. Kids were pretty disappointed, but we decided to take some pints home instead. Had to go outside and ask someone to return to the store so we could purchase them. Also shocked at the amount of food dyes, preservatives, chemicals, gums, etc in their food products. Don’t be led into thinking their products are clean. There wasn’t almost anything we could buy that wasn’t full of toxic ingredients. The ice cream and the cheese we did purchase were subpar at best. Ice cream tastes diluted somehow and the cheese is fine, but nothing amazing. Will probably pass on buying anything else from them in the future.
just an fyi- it is a disappointment! We were in and out in less than an hour and that included the waiting around for the person who was going to give us the tour and including the 10min we sat on their porch for our kids to finish their ice cream before heading home. The staff is not the friendliest (at least not to us and mind you our kids are well behaved!!)
I have been getting shatto milk delivered for four years. All on time every time. Great service. But I just want to question something that had been bugging me. Why can’t I make hard boiled eggs with your eggs?? I have tried DOZEN OF DOZENENS OF EGGS! They all bust open?! I have wasted a lot of money on trying to but I’m not going to anymore😆 I just want to know why
MAGAts , boycott them as they're ruining our country. Shatto is a NO
The tasting was excellent! I loved the flavored milk, the cheese and the butters. The honey butter and the coffee milk was my favorite! The store is cute and has a wide variety. The tour and learning about production was super interesting and I really enjoyed it. I was mildly disappointed in the part with the actual cows. You see them in a holding pen waiting to be milked and that is really it. There are some calves in pens that you are allowed to pet. Overall, I'm super glad I went and definitely purchased a ton at the store.
When are you going to bring out your Chief’s Tears milk? Fly Eagles Fly!
Great place to visit.
Always a great experience when visiting and the best dairy around.
Owner and employees are super nice! They let us in even though we got they just after they closed. They have milk, awesomely uniquely flavored milks, ice cream and a very nice gift shop. They give tours so you can see how the milk is processed. The dairy cows are on site.. so talk about fresh!
Unfortunately their cream and half and half AND milk expire incredibly fast. They print dates on the cap that rub off so you have to be careful to rewrite the date. When it’s good it’s good but it absolutely never last a few days, meaning the dates are off or they knowingly ship out bad product. Contacted them online and no answer or reply ever. And because they don’t respond to reviews either, they care less about what their consumers think. I really love to support local companies, but we aren’t buying this product anymore just not worth it paying more to get expired and sour product.

Get a southern sweet tea drinker to taste the sweet tea .
I got a sweet tea that had mold and white stuff in bottle .
It tasted and smelled super bad .
Nasty ?
Sanitize and clean your bottles better
We had Shatto for the first time in 2009 and have been fans ever since. We are no longer in Kansas but every time we go back we make a stop and get the chocolate milk, it is a classic and is so good. We wish they were in more cities other than just Kansas City area. When I talk to people about what we do in Kansas there are the main things we do get BBQ, and get Shatto chocolate milk are always at the top of the list. Love their products.
Always great milk!
Awesome
