I love this place. Little Gem hidden in the Ozarks. Michael and Young take a lot of pride in their business. Food is always perfect/top quality and the service is genuinely kind. Ive been coming here for several years and ive never had a bad experience. I drive far just to eat here. Best Sushi in Springfield/Metro area.

Got under the sea roll, fried calamari, and cali roll. I've never seen fried calamari like this. Not sure if the calamari was chopped up but there didn't seem to be a lot of meat. It was just a lot of breading so I didn't care for it much. The under the sea was okay. Not much taste to it actually even with all the different things in it. It didn't look that appetizing either. I think the types of fish were just different for me. I usually go for salmon and ahi tuna which add color and their tastes are much better imo. I think the roll was just missing a type of sauce on it. Cali roll was good, but different as the crab was chopped and mixed with something instead of just sticks of crab. Overall I'd love to try this place again someday.

I've never been disappointed with Maru. My husband and I have a standing sushi date on my birthday and it's always amazing - even as take out!
I ordered 3 sushi rolls, an appetizer of calamari, an Entree of orange chicken and two sides of wok noodles. To be fair I LOVE FOOD!! and have been to a lot of places. The noodles are VERY sweet, and don’t taste quite right. Overall the food was bland to the three of us that went out. LITTLE FLAVOR!! Even on the sushi it wasn’t very tasteful.

The Ozark and Golden Cali rolls were excellent!! The rolls are larger than other sushi restaurants.
The beef pad thai was ok, but the Empress chicken was fantastic. We are not from the area but plan to try other dishes when back that way.
