⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finley Farms Restaurant is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with stunning views that make the dining experience even more special. We had the shrimp and grits and the fried pork chop—both were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The shrimp and grits were creamy and rich, while the pork chop was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The attention to detail in both the food and the ambiance truly sets this place apart. A must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting! Can't wait to come back!

Loved the atmosphere. Walk in was cool and dim lighting. Server was mid at best. Barely saw her, refilled our water once. Food was okay. Duck wasn’t bad but portions small for pricing and lacked flavor especially the Lobster Pappardelle. We don’t plan on going back for the food. If we return it will be for cocktails only.

Gorgeous, intimate dining. Perfect for date nights! A few correctable things to take this from good to GREAT.
The food was unique and delicious with plenty of variety. We enjoyed the Whipped Goat Cheese, (exquisite! not to be missed!) Scallops, (perfectly cooked, absolutely perfect with the cream corn) shrimp, (again, perfectly cooked, beautiful flavors) Lobster Pappardelle, (holy moly this was good!! Sadly, it came out lukewarm; a little disappointing) and the duck ... (The reason for my 4 stars - this was just awful. I hate to be that brutal... but it was AWFUL. I love duck, it's my go-to at many restaurants. My husband discreetly deposited his bite on his napkin and I *struggled* to swallow my bite. Texture was off, it was undercooked - even for duck, and the salt was overpowering to the point of eye-watering. It was that bad.)
We didn't make a big deal about it, everything else was very, very good. Our waiter promptly removed the plate and we moved on to dessert. The Rosemary Pound Cake was absolutely divine. Golden grilled cake with homemade lemon ice cream. Such a treat!)
Cocktails were very nice, if a little over-sweet on some. Wine selection is small for by-the-glass choices, but there is something for just about every palette.
Service was good, not great, for the type of establishment. Our waiter was not very knowledgeable about the everything on the menu and neglected to inform us of the special tasting menu. He was very kind and attentive, but the difference in top-tier restaurants often is the service and this one has some room for growth.
Last, but not least, the ladies room was unkempt. Two stalls were without toilet paper (at 630 in the evening) and there was some trash on the floor. Again, the difference between good and great is in the details ... And The Garrison has some room for growth.
All said, we would recommend and will likely return next time we're in Springfield.

Calling to make reservation was easy and receptionist was very nice. Upon arrival, we were given a secret password to get in to the underground speakeasy which was cute and fun. The food and drink were like magic on your tongue. The server was so knowledgeable and able to give great detail into the taste of all drinks and food items. The area is beautiful but it does get a tad noisy when you are sitting in the middle of the aisle between booths. Still it feels intimate. I did not personally like the dead animals on the walls but that’s a personal preference and I understand that this is a restaurant owned by Johnny Morrison who is an extreme hunter.

Not what it used to be. Updates to menu just meant smaller portions and higher prices. Been here about a dozen times but it’s been awhile. Always got the porterhouse with crab cake topper, Caesar salad, fries, and goat cheese app along with “the garrison” Old fashioned and some wine to follow. Crab cake no longer on the menu so went with some other items. The Caesar salad is now sadly pathetically tiny (the real anchovies were a nice surprise though). The scallops came with two medium sized scallops which are just okay, and the duck breast was tasty but perhaps just a 2-3oz portion. Oddly there was really no starch served along with either, so not filling at all. Perhaps we needed to order EVEN MORE food, or maybe they need to add bread service to trick people into feeling full for their $200 spent. Along with some other items spent about $200 after tip, which to me should be enough. Was still hungry when we left, and underwhelmed by the food. On the bright side it meant we had some appetite left to Andy’s. Won’t be back for a dinner again, which is unfortunate because the atmosphere is top notch and it was a “go to” when going out with our of town visitors or friends.

My husband made a reservation for Valentines Day dinner with our best friends. We drove down from Fort Leonard Wood, MO. From the time we stepped on to the property to the time we left, the experience was amazing! I loved the whole experience for The Garrison. Walking through a barrel, the small plates, the atmosphere, it was so worth the drive. The food was on another level. Some of the best food I have EVER had and that’s saying a lot because I’m a foodie! We will definitely be back!

Dietary restrictions: My best friend is allergic to almonds and there was no concern after asking the waiter

We did the Garrison experience and it was amazing. I’m usually a very picky eater but I wanted the full experience and had no regrets.

We didn’t know the portions were small so I’m glad I ordered 2 dishes. The food was very good. The restaurant and whole experience was awesome. I’ve never been to a place like it before. It was amazing and would be an incredible spot for dates. My wife and I spent $100 before tip and we also got an app and desert. I’m looking forward to going back again. We did not order drinks but they looked great and smelled amazing when others ordered them. Was a calm environment and dark and not crowded with too many tables. I think they gave one of our dishes to someone else on accident so that one came late and the other table got ours for free. I was able to eat the other dish I got while we waited for the other one so no big deal. Luckily I ordered two. Great place. Amazing spot. Atmosphere was the best part about this restaurant. Nothing like it

Spectacular! My wife and I are a couple of those snobby foodie people and this experience was up there with some of our all time favorites. We went the omakase route and every bite was memorable and got exceedingly better with each course.

The duck dish was outstanding, we went to Gordon Ramsey’s 3 Michelin Star restaurant in London earlier this year and Chef Austin’s duck dish rivals Ramsey’s. Insane! Hands down the best restaurant in the Springfield/Ozarks area.

The cocktails were super well done, expertly crafted, and delicious.

Service was also incredible, Cheyanne took really good care of us and was a pleasure to be around. Fantastic experience- we need to get the Michelin guide out here, absolutely a restaurant experience worthy of some stars.

Great food and atmosphere! Portions are smaller; quality over quantity. Really loved the seared venison! Forest panzanella was great, too!

My wife and I went here a week or so ago. She ordered the scallops and I ordered the pheasant. Price point wasn't too outrageous… Mid $20 range. When the food arrived, it was almost comically small portions. There were two smallish scallops, and the scrawniest Little pheasant legs that you can imagine. We both literally had three bites of food. If they would've told us that it was an appetizer, we would've ordered a couple of them!

The wait staff is excellent. The food is overpriced. It is not fine dining. No butter dush or place setting to put your utensils on. You have to put them on the table surface. No bread provided with the meal. Some meals have no starch or an option to add one. The salads are anemic and not what they say they are. The ceasar salad is not a true ceasar salad. Children are allowed. We had a lady breastfeeding her kid right next to us in between it whining. There are much higher end restaurants in Springfield for the same prices or less.

Finley Farms is a local gem! I absolutely love this establishment, especially the Garrison. Also to note, Eryn is our favorite server and she is a great representation of Johnny Morris. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Highly recommend!

Wasn't going to write google review, but then restaurant contacted me this morning wanting review, which disappointed us for 2 days now since restaurant asked. Here's our recommendation - Stay away & save your extremely hard earned dollars, unless you want to pay $125 for raw bison burger -OR- fatty goose liver for opening course of appetizers. Your pick folks!
