Had the Sunday brunch and it was amazing. So was server Ellen. Will be back soon.
Photographing an engagement session at Finley Farms this spring was a joy. The beautiful fields, rustic fences, and soft natural light created perfect, romantic backdrops. The variety of spots made it easy to capture genuine, creative moments. Finley Farms is truly a photographer’s dream for intimate, timeless images.
We love mills and were extremely pleased to watch the progress and see it completed. Thank you Johnny!!!
This restaurant was impressive on every level. The service was outstanding, and our waiter was very informative about the menu and gave us a backstory on the restaurant. The food was amazing, fried chicken and duck was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was unique, the speakeasy vibe was a very nice touch. The Garrison is a much try.

We have eaten here a few times and I will say this place has a great atmosphere and service. The food is average at best and extremely expensive. I’m suprised a place with such financial backing can’t put out a small simple menu consistently. I will not be back and if this place wasn’t beautiful it wouldn’t last a month as a restaurant.

What a great place to gather for a meal with family or friends. The food is delicious the service is great I always make sure I stop by whenever I’m in the area.
Very cutesy speakeasy!! It was downstairs through this cool steel tunnel. We only went for drinks and dessert but everything was amazing as was the service! Would definitely recommend for a cute date night

Amazing place for a super intimate date.
It’s beautiful, like out of a movie. Food and drinks are great. Just be ready to have a bigger bill than normal. Definitely worth the money!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finley Farms Restaurant is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with stunning views that make the dining experience even more special. We had the shrimp and grits and the fried pork chop—both were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The shrimp and grits were creamy and rich, while the pork chop was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The attention to detail in both the food and the ambiance truly sets this place apart. A must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting! Can't wait to come back!
We chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary at The Garrison for the nostalgia of the old Riverside Inn and were looking forward to a very rare, special night out. Unfortunately, we were seated right next to the bar where a group of several men were having a good time drinking, cursing and bashing their spouses. The bartender warned them several times to lower their voices but it was about as effective as a mother trying to bribe a rambunctious toddler with candy and the toddler only gets louder as she continued to serve them and the more obnoxious they got. We did the courtesy of checking the website for a dress code and dressed accordingly, but I guess a dress code is actually irrelevant here as the men were dressed casually in their jeans and ball caps. It's unfortunate to pay 5 star meal prices and expect a sophisticated experience and get Applebees vibes and atmosphere.

Loved the atmosphere. Walk in was cool and dim lighting. Server was mid at best. Barely saw her, refilled our water once. Food was okay. Duck wasn’t bad but portions small for pricing and lacked flavor especially the Lobster Pappardelle. We don’t plan on going back for the food. If we return it will be for cocktails only.

Gorgeous, intimate dining. Perfect for date nights! A few correctable things to take this from good to GREAT.
The food was unique and delicious with plenty of variety. We enjoyed the Whipped Goat Cheese, (exquisite! not to be missed!) Scallops, (perfectly cooked, absolutely perfect with the cream corn) shrimp, (again, perfectly cooked, beautiful flavors) Lobster Pappardelle, (holy moly this was good!! Sadly, it came out lukewarm; a little disappointing) and the duck ... (The reason for my 4 stars - this was just awful. I hate to be that brutal... but it was AWFUL. I love duck, it's my go-to at many restaurants. My husband discreetly deposited his bite on his napkin and I *struggled* to swallow my bite. Texture was off, it was undercooked - even for duck, and the salt was overpowering to the point of eye-watering. It was that bad.)
We didn't make a big deal about it, everything else was very, very good. Our waiter promptly removed the plate and we moved on to dessert. The Rosemary Pound Cake was absolutely divine. Golden grilled cake with homemade lemon ice cream. Such a treat!)
Cocktails were very nice, if a little over-sweet on some. Wine selection is small for by-the-glass choices, but there is something for just about every palette.
Service was good, not great, for the type of establishment. Our waiter was not very knowledgeable about the everything on the menu and neglected to inform us of the special tasting menu. He was very kind and attentive, but the difference in top-tier restaurants often is the service and this one has some room for growth.
Last, but not least, the ladies room was unkempt. Two stalls were without toilet paper (at 630 in the evening) and there was some trash on the floor. Again, the difference between good and great is in the details ... And The Garrison has some room for growth.
All said, we would recommend and will likely return next time we're in Springfield.
