I took my wife out for her birthday. Acre was in a reddit post about nice restaurants in KC. We wanted to avoid downtown traffic and construction. Acre is in a strip mall so I was a little apprehensive, but once we stepped inside it was completely forgotten. The staff was lovely and the atmosphere is nice. It's a smaller place and we were sat next to the pass area so we got to preview everyone's food. I had the KC strip and the beef fat fries. The steak was amazing and in the top ten in KC I have had. The fries were crispy and delicious. My wife had the filet which she said was the best one she has ever had and grits which she ate all of. She's on the glp1 shot so hearing her say that and watching her finishing everything she was served should say all that needs to be said. I would recommend if you wanna have a nice evening with some great food.

Wow… just wow!! Pair the tasting menu with the wine samples. From the smokey appetizers to the juicy main courses and savory desserts — it was all curated to be fine as helllllll. I haven’t had such a well crafted tasting menu in a long while. It was also so great getting to talk to the chefs behind the counter. Server Johnathan, chef brandon, and sous chef Maddi were immaculate. They paid attention to everything!! Well worth the bill. Make reservations ahead of time!

Certainly recommend the Chef's experience tasting menu with the wine pairing. Absolutely delicious meal and all the staff, Jonathan, Brandon, and our wonderful sous chef Maddie were incredible.

From start to finish, the food was absolutely amazing! We had appetizers, main courses, and dessert. The meat was cooked perfectly-juicy, flavorful and tender. Presentation of the dishes was wonderful and our server, Paige, did an excellent job. Chef Longres even took time to introduce himself and wish us a Happy Anniversary. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!

Everything was fantastic. We had both dry aged steak options as well as the bison tartare.

Tried this place for a nice birthday outing with my wife, after multiple recommendations from peers, and I have to say, this was the best meal of my life. There is so much thought that went into this menu, and it shows.

I had an aged KC strip with carrots as a side, along with a mystery box for an appetizer and the whipped goat cheese, my wife got the burger with French fries cooked in beef fat. Everything was absolutely delicious! It was not only an incredible meal but it really was an amazing experience. The textures, flavors… delightful.

Did I mention the drinks were to die for?

If you have something to celebrate with your loved ones, do yourself a favor and go to Acre!

Wow this place is smoky! I have to dry clean my wool coat after visiting. I suppose the grill smell is nice for the ambiance but its overwhelming and sticks like glue. The resturants is cozy. The long service window into the kitchen lead to staff having to consistently slide up and down past the already tight tables in the middle isle.

The steak was yummy. The sides were not. The mashed potatoes texture were similar to just add water packets you buy at the store but with less flavor. The roasted veggies came out more burnt than charred and were flavorless. The wine by the glass list is seriously lacking.

Our server was lovely. She was very attentive. We left feeling bad for her as there were tables eating when we arrived and still there after we had our leisurely dinner. Servers won't stay if they don't get a decent table turnover.

This was a 6pm reservation on a Friday night.

Tried the fried chicken and the burger and left pretty disappointed. The chicken breading was soggy and crumbled right off, and the thighs were extremely tough with a lot of yellow fat. The green chili burger didn’t have any green chili at all. I had moderate expectations, but this meal still fell short.

Anniversary dinner started out great! We were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant but once the table of 8 came, our service declined rapidly. I ordered the chef’s choice. When my husband’s entree came it looked amazing. I ended up with a plate of corn, 3 potatoes and a piece of chicken. Talk about disappointment. Lastly, if someone orders dessert and a latte, don’t bring the dessert without the coffee. Sheesh.

Food, the 4 buns with butter absolutely awesome. 18oz ribeye how is it so damn good best steak in kc, the burger definitely needs some work good taste just alittle dry. Apple cobbler how do you make this so freaking good lol. I’m not much of a drinker so the soda was constantly flat
Service was good. They treated us great for our first time and being there for our wedding anniversary a signed card from everyone very sweet and a couple glasses of wine awesome thank you for that but our server just felt like she was alittle annoyed with us and seemed to have some attitude.
Atmosphere was great little cozy place the noise was not super loud but not that awkward quiet
Amazing restaurant would definitely recommend.

Some friends and I came for the fall harvest wild game dinner. Everything was outstanding, far beyond expectation. The price was more than reasonable for the experience we had. I will be buying tickets to every event they have moving forward 🤌
