I took my wife out for her birthday. Acre was in a reddit post about nice restaurants in KC. We wanted to avoid downtown traffic and construction. Acre is in a strip mall so I was a little apprehensive, but once we stepped inside it was completely forgotten. The staff was lovely and the atmosphere is nice. It's a smaller place and we were sat next to the pass area so we got to preview everyone's food. I had the KC strip and the beef fat fries. The steak was amazing and...
Wow… just wow!! Pair the tasting menu with the wine samples. From the smokey appetizers to the juicy main courses and savory desserts — it was all curated to be fine as helllllll. I haven’t had such a well crafted tasting menu in a long while. It was also so great getting to talk to the chefs behind the counter. Server Johnathan, chef brandon, and sous chef Maddi were immaculate. They paid attention to everything!! Well worth the bill. Make reservations ahead of time!
Certainly recommend the Chef's experience tasting menu with the wine pairing. Absolutely delicious meal and all the staff, Jonathan, Brandon, and our wonderful sous chef Maddie were incredible.
