The staff are fantastic! We stayed at Fort Davidson hotel in September 2025, I had emailed & phoned weeks ahead of time as travelling from the UK all correspondence were met professionally.Tim collected us at 4.19am from the Amtrak train at Acadia valley. He drove us to a cafe for Breakfast, then later to Elephants Rocks & Johnston Shut-ins plus a local restaurant for dinner. We learnt so much from him personally the perfect tour guide! The hotel was very clean, the beds very comfortable. We used the pool, towels are supplied. Only spent one full day and night, I would definitely go back, Tim also gave us a spare phone charger phew! Forever grateful.

We really like this hotel. We’re staying here the first weekend in August. Nice and quiet here in the foothills. The rooms are very nice very clean. You have your refrigerator your microwave your coffee pot, the essentials. The bathroom is very roomy and clean. The bed and pillows and everything were very comfortable. The room is 10 out of 10. As I am typing this, Sandy and I are sitting poolside and having a cup of coffee and it is just absolutely wonderful. A very relaxing place. As we sit here and look around the place is spotless. The owners are out working this morning, cleaning things up and making sure everything is in top shape. Also. The owners are just super friendly. You need to spend time with them. I will leave it like this. If you’re in the area come and stay here you won’t be disappointed. We give it 5 stars.

Room was sparkling clean. All of the front desk personnel are very friendly and helpful. Our AC unit in our room sounded like a semi truck hitting its engine breaks. We turned it off and it stayed nice and cool all night, with how hot it has been just probably over worked itself. We will only stay here when we come back due to the location and how clean the room was. Very close to all the restaurants, also only 20 minutes from the shut inns and 15 minutes to elephant rock.

We just finished our youth float trip with a fantastic 2 night stay. This place is a hidden gem in the middle of all the attractions. Very accommodating, clean, cool air, and lovely pool. Old school charm with first class service! You have to come try it for yourself to appreciate the memory’s of such a special trip! We’ll be back as we have for the last 15 yrs

3rd stay. Can't beat the location if you want access to restaurants or services while visiting the area. Vacation rentals in the area have laughable fees and are priced too high. This is still the best value for non-camping accommodations in Iron/Reynolds County.

Tim is an incredible host! We rode into town on the Amtrak, where he picked us up and dropped us off at the Ozark Trail trailhead. After a few days of backpacking, he picked us up and took us to Fort Davidson. We slept well that night AND we had a ride from Tim to the Amtrak station the next morning. Call ahead to arrange this with him - and tip well! Thanks again Tim!!

I do a lot of traveling and stay at different hotels but out of all the hotels that I stay at whether 4 star or 5 star the Fort Davidson Hotel had the best shower and the most comfortable bed. I had a very comfortable stay. If I’m ever in the area again that hotel will be my go to.
