I got the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and it was delicious! The potatoes had a tiny bit of garlic in them and were so good! The rolls were soft and flavorful! Definitely coming back!!

Great food. Definitely recommend it. My husband loved the pork steak. My Reuben was great. Only complaint- the cobbler was so hot I had to eat it slowly. ?

Just ate at the fdc for the first time. I was in a group of about 25 people after a funeral.The restaurant was short handed and still made sure that we were well taken care of. They have a very clean facility across the street from historic fort Davidson. It was cold out at the time, but they also have a nice outdoor patio area. The only negative I could say about the place was their restroom. It was clean and well stocked, but there is only one unisex restroom, and in a group of 25 most traveling far from home that became a bit of a challenge

we stopped here after seeing the fort. the waitress was nice. i ordered the open face and it was great, im glad i got it when i did cause i heard them tell the next table they were out of the beef. wife said the hamburger was ok but not nothing to talk about. i thought the prices were alittle high.

Great spot! Nice to see such a sound operation in a town of this size. Friendly and informative servers, large menu and quality food. Fully masked staff was a plus.

My wife and I ate here recently - we had not heard of the place before, but were in the area to hike and were looking for a restaurant that was a cut above the ordinary. We found one! The fish tacos are great, and we finished with a chocolate pie that was top-notch. In addition to tasty and well-prepared foods, the staff and owner were very friendly and took the time to talk about their menu and the process of developing the recipies.

My wife and I ate at the Fort Davidson Cafe this past Saturday. We both had the fish tacos, which were surprisingly good - from the taco shell itself, to the fish, to the slaw and spices. We finished off with a chocolate pie, and once again our expectations were exceeded! The chocolate filling was very flavorful, the crust was moist and the whipped cream topping was a great counterpoint to the chocolate. Our server was excellent and very friendly, and the owner visited with us to tell the story of the restaurant. I will definitely return next time I am in the area~

Excellent service. Fish tacos are great. Even better is hot peach cobbler with ice cream.

Stopped for lunch on a busy holiday weekend after hiking and enjoyed the covered patio and food. Like the rest of the world, they were short staffed, but service and timing was still better than many places we’ve been pre-pandemic. Our server, Mae, was very attentive and worked hard. We recommend and would return.

I would have given 5 stars but they forgot to give me utensils to eat my pie.

This is an amazing restaurant. Our server, Linda was really sweet and very good at her job. The owner of the restaurant was also very nice. We had a great talk and felt very welcomed and comfortable. The food was great. Our table had shrimp tacos (very good but a little too spicy for me), my husband loved the liver and onions with fries. The veggie quesadilla and chef salad were very good as well. We also tried the beets. I don't really like beets but I loved these. I would order them again. To finish off dinner we all shared peach cobbler with ice cream and a slice of coconut cream pie. We will be back.

Very great place: warm and cozy, the food were very delicious!!! The portions are BIG and again - very-very tasty. Great place to stop and have 30-60 minutes of the real joy! It's like a visit to your grandma!
