My parents come here several times a month. My dad likes the chicken salad and the cheesy tenderloin sandwich. My mom likes the all day breakfast. I loved the onion tanglers. This place can be quick busy for a truck stop, there could be a wait for your food depending on the time of day.

I arrived there with my two boys. Place was fairly empty. We waited over 40 minutes for pancakes and a protein meal. The table next to us got their food fairly quick and they came in way after us. Didn’t get a thank you or sorry about long wait , discount or nothing even though I know staff knew they messed up. They kept looking over at our table and whispering to each other once my kids started asking where our food was to a server . Clearly they messed up . The bacon was severely burnt . Like black . I see that this is an ongoing issue here at this restaurant. And apparently management does not care . Would not recommend or eat here again.

The food was ok. Service was good ac was either broken or they just didn't turn it on. Probably cooler outside than it was in their. Almost all tables were dirty, trash everywhere. Will not be back.

Came in when the restaurant was only half full, and it took nearly 40 minutes to get our food. We had to go so I asked for it to be put into to-go containers. Then they said two of the meals have been ready just sitting there waiting for serving, and getting cold. The only service we actually got was our drinks delivered to the table, coffee complete with a bunch of grounds in it. I got a sorry from our waitress but still had to pay like 52$ for half cold food that took far too long to arrive.

I had the ready-made chicken that was in the gas station side and the fried mushrooms. Both were excellent. The chicken was very good.

Great place to stop for traditional cafe fair. Staff was pleasant, and they had pie. The best part is the convenience, connected to the gas station. This is the first place you come to when approaching KC from the north on I-29.

Okay, I spent the night here. I am a truck driver last night's meal was great. I had breakfast for dinner okay it was awesome biscuits and gravy over medium eggs cooked perfectly, absolutely marvelous! Just make sure you ask for crispy hash browns! ;) So I thought I'd do a repeat for breakfast, but the problem is the cooks are not the same, and... I got the French toast special. (bad idea) Big mistake AND major disappointment...the French toast looked done--but it was so soggy. I only managed a few bites. I LOVE French toast! It's one of my favorite breakfast foods! Whomever cooked that order needs to practice on French toast. Oh...and last nights biscuits and gravy ? AWESOME! I have a feeling that's what I shoulda had for breakfast! Bottom line? ***DONT GET THE FRENCH TOAST--EVER!*** When I told my server about it when I was getting ready to check out (because I didn't want a repeat, I didn't want someone to think that they could just make the same thing for me again in the same manner and it all be good) she offered me a 10% discount. I told her that wasn't enough, the French toast was the main part of the meal and I was not able to eat it so no 10% was not good enough. Then she comps the whole meal, which, no, I was not wanting her to do that! I was willing to pay for the sausage at least because that's all they put on the plate two pieces of sausage and freaking French toast and that was all! And she goes no no I just comp'ed it, you're fine. No that was not fine...so I had a little cash and handed that to her -- she took that, of course. Now, moral of the story here, she was very professional, she did real well I did not expect the meal to be free that was not on my agenda at all. I hope she did not take it personally because it was not against her it was really a problem with whoever cooked that French toast. Yes I will be back again because I really loved that biscuits and gravy there are not too many people in this world that can do biscuits like that and the gravy was divine
