CARNITAS. Give them a shot, maybe add a side of pineapple ? the hot salsa, the guacamole, the tacos! Then come across the street to Barley&Vine for a glass of some of the best beers & wines you'll find. ❤ Local ❤ Authentic ??

ATTENTION THIS IS OWNED BY THE OLD MARIA'S CREW!!! No more needs to be said, but IT IS THE BOMB!!! We had no idea snd happened in after moving back to Platte City. We were so happy to see the wait staff from Maria's and the food and margarita were both TOP SHELF!!!!

Both times we ate there the service was poor and food was not hot. Now we patronize other Mexican restaurants

I don't usually leave reviews but this place served me ROTTEN taquitos and the service wasn't much better. It wasn't just slightly off either, it was well past it's date. We could both smell it as it sat on the end of the table even. The server took it off the bill and asked if I wanted anything else instead but I had that putrid taquito in my mouth so definitely not. It's hard to trust anything else that came out of that kitchen including the stuff I already had eaten.Service was non-existent. We couldn't get anyone to take our order for at least 20 minutes and no refills or check-ins after that. We went for dinner Saturday night but the place wasn't busy besides one large party of ~10. The chips, salsa, and cheese dip were good, chimichanga was just okay. I wanted to like this and I see all the great reviews but I can't in good conscious recommend it after that experience.

Seating could be more comfortable. But that is about it. We caught them right before close. (Sorry) But they still served us the best they could. (Water was off for some reason)

Went here for the first time, will not be back. I am not sure what some people in prior reviews are talking about saying this is "authentic" mexican food. Far from it. Maybe it was when it first opened? Run of the mill americanized food. Lunch time on a Saturday, two other customers who were just leaving - should have been a clue. We were seated right away but then it took 15 minutes from when we sat until he took our order. Then about 20 minutes to get the food, mind you we are the only customers in the building. I ordered the tostaguac which was supposed to be a tostada with your choice of meat, lettuce, tomato and sour cream and of course guac. Guess what was missing? No guac on an item you call tostaguac??? Just wow! Chicken was very moist but absolutely flavorless, I was so glad I saved some salsa to put on it so I could eat it. Oh yea, and unless you like bland tomato sauce masquerading as salsa, ask for the hot and mix it in with the bland stuff, then it is pretty decent. The chips had potential except ours seemed like bottom of the barrel or someone sat on them. 2/3 of them were tiny bits the size of your fingernail. I know its a small town but come on, do better. I really want to find a place to love.
