Not clean at all Shake was terrible and the cream tasted like lard.
Cold and old best describes the food. We ordered Cheeseburgers and fries. It was all cold. The buns were hard and the cheese was unmelted. We also had a vanilla milkshake in a chocolate covered cup that was runny and tasted greasy.

While traveling before Christmas, we stopped at the Steak & Shake in Poplar Bluff, MO. We do not have a Steak & Shake where we are from, so we are not familiar with how to use the impersonal kiosks to order. Unfortunately, no one to assist us, an elderly couple, with ordering. We did not receive what we wanted, and thought that we had paid for. The employee that gave us our food was not helpful, and said that we would have to go through the entire kiosk experience again. Horrific experience a restaurant that we had heard to be a great burger place. Not what we would have expected.

Absolutely disgusting. The place was DEAD, and likely had been for hours, but the tables weren't clean, had stuff all over them, had hairs on them, terrible. Used to be one of my favorite places, will not be stopping again.
