I cannot believe how bad poplar bluff Missouri steak and shake has gotten,, the food was not worth the price,,it tasted dried out,,tables were dirty,,we had to clean our own table just to sit down and the woman was rude.. will definitely not be going back.. used to be a great place to eat

The wait staff doesn't know their job. We had to ask for pepper, we had to ask for coffee, we had to ask for a spoon, my wife's coffee was cold; we mentioned it, nothing happened. There are some serious training issues there. The food was good. Going to a restaurant is not cheap anymore. Get it together folks.

We dined at Steak ‘n Shake for supper today, and it was a pleasant experience, especially since I don’t get to visit as often as I used to. The highlight was trying their much-advertised Beef Tallow Fries, which lived up to the hype—crisp, flavorful, and a nice change from standard fries. The rest of the meal was solid, with the food prepared well and served hot.
The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall enjoyment. For a quick, casual meal, it was a great choice, and I’d happily return when I’m in the mood for a classic smashed burger experience.

I’ve gone twice. The first time I got a burger with no bun no cheese. They gave me a burger with no cheese and a bun. It’s an allergy so I couldn’t just take the bun off. Then the lady was pissed gave me a burger with cheese and no bun and gave me 1/3 of the fries I had because she was pissed. The second time I went through the drive through. I watched the manager throw my burger and dump my French fries in the bed then had me the bad laughing because he thought it was funny to mess with my food.

I would give it no stars but I can't. Service was absolutely horrible and our order was wrong 3 times. Ended up eating wrong food just so we could leave. The manager got an attitude with us and we still ended up paying for the wrong food. Definitely won't return.

No one has time to take your order there. You better be well-versed in how to use their kiosk. It is very difficult when compared to other other ff establishments. Burger was overcooked, but the shake was great 👍

Just had the best customer service. I had placed a mobile order for pickup at 7:30. I ended up arriving 20 minutes early and asked if they could push the order through. The manager said it hadn’t shown up in their system yet, but asked what I had ordered and had the staff get started on it. My grandson was asleep in the car, so I couldn’t do inside pickup like I had selected in the app. The manager personally brought my order out with hot, fresh onion rings and the best service and attitude I have received in a long time. Keep up the good work! Food was awesome too!

This is the first place I’ve eaten at where I was my own cashier and put my own order in. I’m glad I got it right. I don’t mind the new technology but there was one employee cleaning the floors and she looked exhausted. I hope they don’t try to save money at the cost of personal customer service.

Not bad, but not great either! I'm not sure why they took jalapeños off the menu here, but okay... Maybe it just me, but the menu didn't seem to have as large of a selection as I remember. Kinda slow on service as well, or at least for some customers, it seemed that way! But still very good food. In presentation and taste!
