Usually like this place . Went there service was great , food terrible. Portabella fries overcooked almost burnt.. not good. Ordered 2 pulled pork poorboys , fires were barely warm. Sandwich was so so. Was very disappointed. The fish everyone was ordering looked good . There were only 3 other tables of customers there so being busy wasnt the problem. Not sure i will be back. I can spend $50 at alot of restaurants.
Great good food

Home Is Where the Ribs Are
Home is the sizzle of pig ribs slow and deep,
Sweet smoke curling where my memories sleep.
A kitchen warm with a familiar hum,
Where hunger and comfort together come.
I love the way fish flakes gentle and bright,
Silver and tender, cooked just right.
From river or sea to my waiting plate,
Each bite feels like home, no need to wait.
Pig ribs sticky with sauce and care,
Falling apart like love lives there.
Grease-stained napkins, laughter loud,
A simple joy I say out loud.
Home isn’t walls or a street I know,
It’s the taste of food that makes me slow—
Fish and pig ribs, honest and true,
Home is the love I feel in you.

We went there first time today, I had 2 piece catfish basket and it was really good, done just right, really liked the coleslaw, wife had rib plate and she liked it very much, better than one of the other bbq restaurants in pb. Staff friendly and fast.
We stopped here on a road trip and we are very happy with our choice. You should stop too. It's delicious!

We ate here tonight & had the WORST food experience I’ve had in a very long time. $20 for a pork steak that was too tough to even eat. Didn’t eat my food at all. Had difficulty cutting it with a knife, the lettuce was brown in our salads. We come and eat here every deer season and needless to say tonight will be the last. Our waiter was quick to add the gratuity to our check but didn’t even check in on the table. He took our orders and delivered food and outside of that we never even saw him. 0/10 stars. Do NOT recommend.
First time..service was awesome, and the food was too good! Will be back for sure

Appetizers We enjoyed the deep fried green beans appetizer as well as the pulled pork nachos. Good cheese on top! The dipping sauce for the beans was ranch (yawn) but also a mildly spicy sauce that was great. Entrees Choice of three sides! I had the smoked half chicken with hush puppies. Sides were BBQ beans, cucumber salad, and fries. Spouse had the nights special which was batter fried USA raised catfish with hush puppies. Sides were sweet potato fries, potato salad, and mac n cheese. We had a blast trying to figure out the herbs and spices. We think tarragon in the potato salad. Cucumber salad had onion vinegar and tomato. Buttermilk in the hush puppies? They were great. Lots of leftovers for breakfast which was our plan.
